The Rock made his latest appearance on WWE NXT New Year’s Evil 2025
Fans questioned The Rock’s WWE WrestleMania 41 status after seeing his promo on RAW this past Monday. The Final Boss has not confirmed or denied attending The Showcase of the Immortals.
During a recent Live Q&A on Backstage Pass, WrestleVotes gave an update on The Rock’s WrestleMania situation. The wrestling insider stated that the powers that be (including Rock himself) have yet to make a final decision on his attendance at WWE’s largest PLE of the year.
“No, I don’t think anybody knows for a fact. I still expect him there. I think people within the WWE still expect him there. But there’s that report, and I believe it’s an honest report, that he may not wrestle. So, you know, it’s kind of a touch and go until a final decision is made. And I don’t think that’s happened yet.” [From 10:14 onwards]
Earlier on the airing, Bill Apter discussed The Rock’s RAW promo. The veteran wrestler noticed that the real-life Dwayne Johnson appeared out of character during his promo, but this might all be a trick to convince Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes to believe him:
“I think that The Rock was out of character, but in storyline, with him hugging Cody and Roman Reigns. I think he’s trying to lure them into a false sense of security.” [From 09:13 onwards]
The Rock made his appearance on WWE NXT New Year’s Evil 2025
After appearing on the inaugural episode of Raw on Netflix, The Rock stated that he will be making his debut appearance on NXT television this week. But what might he be doing there?
His first order of business was stumbling into Ethan Page backstage, followed by a quick talk with his daughter, General Manager Ava. He stated he had no clue what he was going to say until he got in front of the audience.
When he arrived, he mentioned that people were furious because he was drinking and hanging out with Cody Rhodes as if they were buddies. He continually referred to himself as The Final Boss, claiming that he is always thinking 20 steps ahead and that we should all know our jobs and keep our mouths shut.
