The WWE WrestleMania 42 set is under construction

WWE has officially begun construction on the WrestleMania 42 set at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The build started on April 13, giving the production crew just six days to complete one of the most elaborate stages in wrestling history.

Fresh images from inside the stadium show heavy machinery, massive LED panels, and a rising stage structure already taking shape ahead of Night 1 on April 18.

WWE WrestleMania 42 stage construction is underway

The countdown is on. Fresh images from inside Allegiant Stadium show the WrestleMania 42 set taking shape in real time.

Giant LED screens, towering trusses, scaffolding rigs, and heavy production equipment now fill the arena floor. The iconic WWE logo is already visible on the titantron display, and crews are working around the clock to get the stage ready in time.

The image above captures the sheer scale of what goes into building a WrestleMania set, with a JLG boom lift in the foreground, multiple rigging systems overhead, and lighting rigs stretching across the entire ceiling of Allegiant Stadium.

Why did construction start so late this year?

This year’s build timeline is unusually tight. According to PWInsider, WWE’s production crew started work on the WrestleMania 42 setup at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday evening, six days before Night 1 of the event.

The delay wasn’t by choice. Bruno Mars kicked off his Romantic Tour at Allegiant Stadium on April 10 and 11, meaning WWE had to wait until the shows concluded to begin setting up. Once Mars’ trucks left, WWE’s trucks rolled in immediately after.

Sources say production was scheduled to begin on April 13 once the load time for Bruno Mars’ concerts ended. That gave the crew roughly six days to build what typically takes weeks.

In early construction footage shared by WWE, there is constant movement of crew and equipment, with workers assembling large panels and platforms.

The latest images confirm the same. Massive rigging systems hang from the stadium ceiling, LED screen towers are being bolted into position, and the entrance ramp structure is beginning to take form.

In addition to the construction at the stadium, WWE has set up a large WWE Championship display at the baggage area of Harry Reid Airport in Las Vegas to greet fans arriving in town.

The full stage reveal is expected to drop on WWE’s official social media channels before Night 1 kicks off on April 18.

When did WWE start building the WrestleMania 42 set?

WWE officially began construction on the WrestleMania 42 set at Allegiant Stadium on April 13, 2026. The start was delayed because Bruno Mars held two nights of his Romantic Tour at the same venue on April 10 and 11. This gave the production crew just six days to complete the full build before Night 1 on April 18.

Why is the WrestleMania 42 stage build taking less time than usual?

The WrestleMania 42 stage build started later than normal because Allegiant Stadium was occupied by Bruno Mars’ concert tour just days before the event. WWE’s trucks arrived as soon as Bruno Mars’ production cleared out, leaving only six days to construct one of the biggest stages in sports entertainment. Despite the tight window, construction is well underway.

Where is WrestleMania 42 taking place?

WrestleMania 42 takes place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, which is part of the Las Vegas area. It is the second consecutive year the same venue has hosted WrestleMania, following last year’s WrestleMania 41. Both nights stream live on ESPN in the United States and Netflix internationally, starting at 6 PM ET / 3 PM PT on April 18 and 19, 2026.
