Liv Morgan has been absent from WWE programming since last month!
On the April 28 episode of WWE RAW, Liv Morgan shocked fans by announcing that she’s landed a role in a major Hollywood film. With such a big opportunity ahead, Morgan revealed she would be stepping away from WWE for a while to focus on her new project.
Acting as Raw’s one-night General Manager, Nick Aldis supported her decision and officially granted her the time off, while also congratulating her on this milestone. Morgan has since been in Japan filming the movie, Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo.
Morgan last wrestled on Raw after WrestleMania 41 alongside Raquel Rodriguez, where they defeated Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria to regain the Women’s Tag Team title, breaking their own record to become the one and only four-time Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Despite her brief hiatus, Liv remains one of the top stars in the women’s division, and the promotion has opted not to strip her and Raquel Rodriguez of the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Liv Morgan wrapped up filming for her role earlier this week
According to a recent report from PWInsider, Morgan finished up filming for her role in the movie earlier this week. She is expected to return to WWE TV “very soon” at this point.
Regarding her acting performance, sources noted that she was a “complete natural” on set and “absolutely crushed” her role in the film. They also mentioned that she “blew everyone away” with her performance, even impressing seasoned industry veterans.
An earlier report from Fightful Select revealed that Morgan was expected to finish filming the movie on May 16. and will then return to the United States the next day, on May 17. The report also added that she will miss at least one more episode of Monday Night Raw.
It would be interesting to see when Morgan makes her return, especially due to the upcoming Money in the Bank 2025, and what storyline the tag champions are involved in following Liv Morgan’s return.
