Multiple top stars are without a match at WrestleMania 42 at the moment.
WWE is only weeks away from producing its biggest show of the year, WrestleMania 42. The two-night extravaganza will emanate from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 18 and 19.
WWE has assembled an incredible match card featuring top stars so far, to make it a huge hit. At the same time, there are five popular names who are still without a match at WrestleMania 42 this year.
5. Sami Zayn
Sami Zayn has been a popular attraction and beloved WWE superstar of this generation. He is the prime example of the Ultimate Underdog, which is the reason for his large fanbase.
Despite that and his in-ring acumen, Zayn is directionless on the road to WrestleMania 42 and is currently left out of the match card.
4. LA Knight
Another WWE superstar with a roaring popularity in this generation is LA Knight. The Megastar was rumored to be Brock Lesnar‘s WrestleMania 42 opponent.
However, that turned out to be false as Oba Femi was revealed for that spot on RAW this week. So at the moment, Knight is not scheduled for a match at WrestleMania this year.
3. Bayley
The WWE Universe has expressed its displeasure with WWE over the booking of Bayley. The Role Model has been a veteran star for years and left it all in the ring every single night.
Despite her hard work and perseverance, Bayley is not scheduled for any match at WrestleMania 42 and could be left off the match card again, as she was last year.
2. Gunther
Gunther has been gaining major momentum after retiring top legends like AJ Styles, Goldberg, and John Cena.
Despite that, The Career Killer is not featured in any prominent program on the road to WrestleMania 42, which could be a major blow to his current run in WWE.
1. Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins made his return to WWE at the 2025 Elimination Chamber PLE months after being on the sidelines due to injury.
He was rumored to face Bron Breakker at WrestleMania 42; however, those plans were scrapped after Breakker’s hernia injury. While he is currently involved in a feud with The Vision, Rollins’ WrestleMania 42 direction still remains unclear at the moment.
When and where will WrestleMania 42 take place?
The 42nd edition of WrestleMania will take place as a two-night event on Saturday, April 18 and 19, at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.
Who will headline the PLE?
The match between CM Punk and Roman Reigns will headline Night Two of the PLE, while Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton will close Night One.
