It seems like Henry has brought a new talent to the table from his family, who recently announced his signings to the biggest promotion.
Jacob Henry signs with WWE
Mark Henry on his recent appearance at Remix Rumble introduced his son Jacob Fatu and said that he has some big news. Jacob Henry came out giving a huge shoutout to his father and then cut straight to announce that he has officially signed with WWE and the news will be out within the next two days.
Jacob Henry said,
“I think it’s time. I think few people know. But for people who probably don’t know, I’m gonna tell you what’s going on in my life. I am a Toledo wrestler from the University of Oklahoma. Some big news is coming out in the next couple of days. [NXT Chants] I think you should be the guys first to know. I am going to be the future superstar to put on paper. I have officially signed a deal with WWE. [NXT Chants] It’s official, I am locked in.”
Mark Henry on Jacob Henry’s passion towards wrestling
Mark Henry in a recent interview with TMZ Sports spoke about his son trying out for OU spring football time and was not sure about his WWE start time. He speculated that Jacob could start his career with WWE after his collegiate career.
Henry then continued explaining how passionate his son is about pro wrestling, however, he wishes he completes his degree first and gets his way into wrestling.
Henry said,
“His true passion is pro wrestling. He’s not trying to be the Olympic champion. He said, ‘Dad, I’m not trying to go to the Pro Bowl or win the Super Bowl.’ He said, ‘I want to main event WrestleMania. I wanna go to Japan and be champion.’”
He’s gotta hand me that degree first. Him and my daughter both. I was like, ‘Y’all hand me the degree, I will give you the keys to your inheritance and you can go do whatever you want to do.’”
