All matches announced for WWE NXT New Year’s Evil 2026 so far; Oba Femi, Jacy Jane in action & more

WWE NXT will kick off 2026 with a special episode.
WWE’s developmental brand is all set to usher in 2026 with a special episode. The 2026 edition of NXT New Year’s Evil will take place on January 6, 2026 the at the Capitol Wrestling Center (WWE Performance Center) in Orlando, Florida.
The sixth annual WWE NXT: New Year’s Evil and seventh overall will air live as a special episode of NXT on The CW. This will be the second edition to air on The CW after NXT’s move to the channel in October 2024.
The card for the special show started to take shape at the 2025 edition of Deadline, which concluded on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas.
WWE Evolve Women’s Champion Kendal Grey captured victory in the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge against Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Kelani Jordan, and Jordynne Grace. With the win, she earned a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship.
Grey will take on the current NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne at the upcoming New Year’s Evil as she looks to become a double champion.
On the other hand, Je’Von Evans defeated Leon Slater, Joe Hendry, Dion Lennox, and Myles Borne to win the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge. With the win, Evans is now set to battle the NXT Champion at the special on January 6.
In the first match of Deadline, Oba Femi defeated Ricky Saints to capture the NXT title once again. He will now have to defend the crown against the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge, Evans, next month.
