WWE Backlash has already announced some of the top matches for its card
WWE Backlash 2025 is only a week away from taking over the Enterprise Arena, on May 10th in St Louis Missouri. The event will be marked by some of the most compelling and captivating showdowns in the history of WWE.
The event has announced top matches like John Cena vs Randy Orton, Pat McAfee vs Gunther and Becky Lynch vs Lyra Valkyria. With only a week left for the show, here are the seven matches that can be added to the Premium Live Event:
7. Zelina Vega vs Chelsea Green
Zelina Vega fought the odds and finally captured her first singles title in WWE by defeating Chelsea Green. The Hot Mess might invoke her rematch clause and challenge Vega to reclaim her WWE Women’s US title and the glory of USA, with the bout having the possibility to take place at Backlash.
6. Seth Rollins vs Sami Zayn
The friendship of Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn took a major hit following last week’s Monday Night RAW. Zayn did not agree with his recent actions and instead faced the wrath of his new cohort, Bron Breakker.
The Visionary himself stomped Sami Zayn’s head into the mat to end the show. The former NXT champion might want some revenge which he could get in a match against Rollins at WWE Backlash.
5. Jey Uso vs Logan Paul
Logan Paul called out Jey Uso after emerging victorious over AJ Styles at WrestleMania 41, hinting at his intentions to take his World title.
The YEET man took him out with a super kick and Paul attacked him backstage later that night. This might have put them on a collision course which could end in a World Heavyweight title match at Backlash.
4. Jade Cargill vs Tiffany Stratton
Jade Cargill is set to battle Nia Jax in a No.1 contender’s match for the WWE Women’s title on SmackDown next week. Cargill could emerge victorious in the bout and set up a title showdown with reigning champion Tiffany Stratton for WWE Backlash which hopefully would not end in a disqualification like last time.
3. Dominik Mysterio vs Finn Balor
Dominik Mysterio stole Finn Balor’s WrestleMania moment and won the WWE Intercontinental Championship in Las Vegas. Moreover, tensions have been evident between them since before their WrestleMania 41 match and could explode with a title match at WWE Backlash between the Judgment Day members.
2. Iyo Sky & Rhea Ripley vs Roxanne Perez & Giulia
Ever since WrestleMania 41 concluded, NXT stars Roxanne Perez and Giulia had been laying attacks on the WWE Women’s World champion IYO Sky.
However, she has been getting some unlikely assistance from her WrestleMania opponent Rhea Ripley. They can potentially form an alliance again to battle Perez and Giulia in a tag team match at WWE Backlash.
1. Roman Reigns & CM Punk vs Seth Rollins & Bron Breakker
Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker were revealed as the new Paul Heyman Guys towards the end of the WrestleMania 41 season.
The Wiseman formed a new alliance with the two RAW stars after betraying CM Punk and Roman Reigns. This could set the stage for a return of both Reigns and Punk to form an unlikely team to battle Breakker and Rollins at WWE Backlash.
