WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is set to make its return in January after being resurrected last year

WWE made a remarkable move by bringing back its popular vintage show, WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in December 2024. The show was one of the most enthralling nights in the company that saw the likes of Gunther, Chelsea Green and Liv Morgan compete in high-profile matches. Furthermore, it was headlined by the title match between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens which saw a dramatic ending.

Furthermore, the event also saw the return of top WWE legends and a completely nostalgic environment. The next edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will be presented on January 25 at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. 5 Roman Reigns vs Kevin Owens

During the final moments of the Tribal Combat between Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa on RAW on Netflix’s debut show, Kevin Owens came out of nowhere and took down Reigns. While Reigns still came out victorious, he might want to settle scores with Owens, who almost cost him one of the most important matches of his career. This could lead to Roman Reigns vs Owens headlining the upcoming edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

4 Rhea Ripley vs Becky Lynch

Rhea Ripley put an end to her heated rivalry with Liv Morgan at WWE RAW on Netflix and won back her WWE Women’s World Championship. Initially, Becky Lynch was reportedly set to return to confront Mami, who would possibly set up a match between them.

However, those plans were scrapped in favour of The Undertaker’s appearance. But The Man could make her highly awaited return in the weeks leading up to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event and challenge Rhea Ripley for the title at the show, which could easily become the main event.

3 Tiffany Stratton vs Nia Jax

Tiffany Stratton shocked the entire world by betraying her friend, Nia Jax, on the first SmackDown of 2025 and successfully cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to become the new WWE Women’s Champion.

Jax would surely want her revenge and her title back after being betrayed by her close ally. This could possibly set up a title match between Tiffany Stratton & Nia Jax in the final match of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

2 Seth Rollins vs CM Punk

CM Punk and Seth Rollins tore down the house in the main event of Monday Night RAW with a stellar showdown that saw Punk walking away victorious. Despite that, he hinted at battling Rollins once again in his career.

The Best in the World could get his wish early from a vengeful Seth Rollins, possibly setting up another headliner match at the upcoming WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event that could steal the show yet again.

1 Gunther vs CM Punk

After CM Punk defeated Seth Rollins in the Main event of WWE RAW on Netflix’s debut show, he made his intentions clear that he would go after the current reigning World Champions, either Cody Rhodes or Gunther.

There had been reports earlier for a planned match between Gunther and CM Punk, but the match has not happened so far. So WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event could be the place for this main event match for the World Heavyweight Championship to happen and captivate the audience in attendance for the next vintage show.
