WWE RAW on Netflix will feature a new ring mat

Monday Night Raw is gearing up for an exciting transition to Netflix, marking the start of a bold new chapter in WWE history. The shift kicks off on January 6, and fans have already caught a glimpse of the changes coming their way—starting with a brand-new ring mat design.

An image circulating online has given us our first look at the updated Monday Night RAW ring mat. The design prominently features a variety of sponsor logos, making it a standout addition to the show’s presentation. Among the brands showcased are Fortnite, Netflix, Snickers, Cricket Wireless, and Riyadh Season. Adding to the intrigue, two corners of the ring will also highlight Hulk Hogan’s Real American Beer.

The revamped RAW ring mat isn’t the only upgrade WWE has planned. Friday Night SmackDown recently introduced its own updated ring mat during the January 3 episode, which also marked the program’s first three-hour broadcast on the USA Network. The SmackDown mat featured a sleeker blue design, but it seems the RAW mat will take things to the next level with a busier and more sponsor-heavy layout.

According to Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select, WWE revealed the new black RAW ring mat earlier this week during SmackDown preparations in Phoenix.

Sapp noted, “This afternoon ahead of WWE Smackdown, there was a black ring mat out in the ring. It also featured various logos, including a Fortnite logo where Prime’s used to reside. In two corners, Riyadh Season, with the other two corners being Real American Beer, Hulk Hogan’s product. In addition, there were two Cricket logos, and single Netflix and Snickers logos. We’ve not confirmed this will be used for WWE Raw, but it was intimated that it would be.”

Fans are buzzing with excitement about these changes, and WWE seems determined to make its Netflix debut a resounding success. From bringing in big-name sponsors to reimagining its iconic visuals, WWE is pulling out all the stops.
