Pat McAfee's top five best WWE moments

Pat McAfee is one of the most versatile personalities to step into WWE

Pat McAfee has been in WWE since 2018 and has wrestled during the initial days and transformed into a color Commentator on Raw. He & Michael Cole are the official color commentators for WWE’s prime television show, Monday Night Raw. They have been assigned for the Monday Nights and have been working together since January 2024.

McAfee has been having fun at the commentary desk and added more character to the shows. WWE has officially announced that McAfee will be taking a break from WWE for a brief time until January 2024 following the CFL season. As Pat McAfee is taking his time off, here we take a look at his top five moments in WWE.

5. Replacing Samantha Irwin

On the June 10, 2024, episode of Raw, WWE Raw announcer Samantha Irwin left the building with Ricochet, following the assault of Bron Breakker on his fiancee. McAfee took the role of Samantha and introduced Drew McIntyre and Finn Balor for the main event match.

McAfee introduced McIntyre as the Handsome Bast**d from Scotland & Finn Balor as the member of Bum A** Judgment Day. This was one of the hilarious moments of McAfee which became the trend among social media fans.

4.  Eliminating himself at Royal Rumble

At the 2024 Royal Rumble PLE, Pat McAfee made his WWE return and joined the commentary panel as the special guest commentator. Following the surprise return, WWE gave him a surprise by announcing him as the surprise entrance in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.

McAfee entered the ring and saw Omos and Bron Breakker inside the ring. With fear, McAfee jumped from the top rope to eliminate himself from the match.

3. Knockout Adam Cole

In 2020, Adam Cole invaded the Pat McAfee show and had a heated confrontation. Following that McAfee came to NXT confronting Adam Pearce and both talked trash on each other. Triple H & Shawn Michaels separated them, but McAfee football kicked Cole to knock him out. Triple H pushed McAfee and he got escorted from the building.

2. Sharing ring with McMahon, Steve Austin & Austin Theory

At WrestleMania 38, Pat McAfee challenged Austin Theory to a singles match, with Vince McMahon seated ringside to watch his chosen one Theory perform in the match. McAfee picked up the win.

Following the match, McAfee called out Vince McMahon to the ring and had an impromptu match, where Theory attacked Pat and Vince kicked the Dallas Cowboys football on McAfee to pick up the win. After the match, Stone Cold Steve Austin made a surprise appearance and stunned Theory & McMahon and celebrated with McAfee, only to be stunned by him.

1. Returning with The Rock

On the September 15, 2023, episode of SmackDown, Pat McAfee made his surprise return and kicked off the show. McAfee claimed that it was not a SmackDown show, and claimed it was the McAfee Show, but he was confronted by Austin Theory, who claimed it was Theory’s show. McAfee cuts him off saying that it is not McAfee or Theory Show, but it’s a people’s show.

McAfee asked him what the people show meant and gave a pause, where Rock made his return and verbally assaulted Theory. Both Rock and McAfee delivered the People’s Elbow on Theory and it became the talking point in the wrestling industry.
