AJ Styles could head in different directions should he come up short against Cody Rhodes again at WWE Clash at the Castle.
WWE is moving fast-paced toward its next Premium Live Event, WWE Clash at the Castle, after the success of its previous shows this year. The event is set to take place on June 15, at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.
A marquee match planned for the card will see Cody Rhodes collide against his heated rival, AJ Styles for the Undisputed WWE Title in an ‘I Quit Match.’ This will see them battle in a high-stakes match for the second time.
With a rematch accompanied by emerging tensions and vicious assaults, the outcome might see AJ ending up losing again after their match at WWE Backlash France. Here are 4 possible directions for AJ Styles following his possible loss at the WWE PLE:
4. Cody Rhodes’ earns redemption with vicious assault
AJ Styles faked his retirement on SmackDown last week to launch a vicious beatdown on Cody Rhodes to get another chance at his title. Moreover, Cody’s frustrations were visible on the latest episode of SmackDown leading to him proposing the I Quit stipulation.
This could work in favor of The American Nightmare who could use every foreign object and the physical environment to his advantage and decimate Styles to the point that Styles utters the words ‘I Quit’ and loses clean to Rhodes in a clean yet hellacious beatdown.
3. AJ Styles’ real retirement
While AJ Styles did pull off a ruse hinting at his retirement on SmackDown last week, the outcome might actually lead to Styles hanging up his boots for good.
The second defeat to Cody Rhodes could possibly make him realize that his days to main event and reign as champion are over, leading to WWE Universe seeing the end of The Phenomenal One’s career and giving him the perfect send-off at a stage like WWE Clash at the Castle in grand fashion.

2. The Phenomenal AEW debut
AJ Styles has achieved multiple championships and accolades during his 8-year long tenure in WWE. Not only that, he has battled some legendary stars like The Undertaker, John Cena and Brock Lesnar during his run in the global juggernaut.
A loss to Cody Rhodes at WWE Clash at the Castle could see him leave the promotion to explore a new direction in the last days of his career, leading to his Phenomenal debut in rival promotion, AEW. This would give him the chance to battle new opponents and put up more Dream matches for the wrestling fans to witness.
1. Join Forces back with The OC
Amidst the rumored final run for AJ Styles that has been a turbulent ride, his OC cohorts, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have been on his side in the good and bad.
Should he end up on the losing end at WWE Clash at the Castle, AJ could enjoy the last run with his good brothers to possibly venture on a strong faction run and elevate his partners at the top of the tag team division before his career would ultimately fold, giving it back to the business.
