Multiple finishes are possible for John Cena’s last match.

The stage is set for John Cena’s final WWE match, which will take place at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

The Never Seen 17 will square off against The Ring General Gunther, who outlasted a field of 16 top and rising stars in The Last Time is Now tournament to earn the privilege of battling The GOAT in his last match. Here are five possible finishes that can take place for the Cena vs Gunther match.

5. Make him tap out the same way as LA Knight

Gunther squared off with LA Knight in the finals of The Last Time is Now tournament on the December 5 edition of SmackDown.

Following a back-and-forth and explosive showdown, Gunther applied a somewhat STF to The Megastar to make him submit.

While it seemed like a mockery to John Cena’s submission move, he could do the same to him during their match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

4. Repeated Powerbombs finish

John Cena has battled many tough opponents, but Gunther is a different breed altogether. The Ring General is known to deliver smashing Powerbombs as part of his arsenal.

In his match against The Champ at Saturday Night’s Main Event, he could hit Cena with multiple Powerbombs until Cena would fall to the mat and not be able to break the pinfall.

3. John Cena makes Gunther submit

While Gunther might have multiple powerful moves and holds, John Cena has been a veteran of the business for two decades.

He has been known to make multiple iconic stars tap out to his submission, STF, and Gunther could suffer a similar fate with the match ending in Cena’s victory.

2. The Never Seen 17 finally gives up

John Cena has lived his WWE career by the mantra ‘Never Give Up.’ However, Gunther vowed right after the Last Time is Now tournament finals that he would make him give up.

The nearly impossible sight might become a reality at Saturday Night’s Main Event should Gunther’s fury and power make Cena quit and lose his last match.

1. John Cena scores a clean pinfall

It will be an emotional yet exciting night at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event as John Cena’s final match is expected to headline the show.

With the fans clearly behind him and millions of them watching worldwide, Cena could defy the odds and put down Gunther by scoring a clean pinfall to retire as a victor.
