The two stars will battle in a singles match in Omaha
After weeks of tensions, Penta and Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh will battle in a singles match on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, which is set to emanate live from the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. The show will serve as the go-home show for the Backlash 2025 PLE, which is set for May 10 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
The recent tensions between the two arose when McDonagh made his return during the IC title clash between Dominik Mysterio and Penta, where JD helped his stablemate, Dominik, to retain the title. Penta returned the favor and interfered in last week’s tag team match involving McDonagh.
Ahead of this week’s singles clash between the two on WWE Raw, let us take a look at the three possible endings for the match in Omaha.
3. Judgment Day interferes
One of the most obvious interferences that will likely happen during the clash is from McDonagh’s stable, the Judgment Day as Carlito and Dominik Mysterio will not accompany JD but will likely distract the official to help McDonagh gain an advantage, possibly picking up the win.

2. Penta wins
Penta has been struggling since last month, not only losing his undefeated streak but also suffering back-to-back defeats, with the latest setback coming due to interference from Judgment Day. The Luchador needs to pick up the win, not just to exact revenge for costing him the IC title shot but also to get back to the win column and challenge Dominik Mysterio for the IC title.
1. El Grande Americano strikes
On last week’s show, Chad Gable in a backstage segment mocked Penta for his brother Rey Fenix’s loss to El Grande Americano at WrestleMania 41. However, Penta was in no mood as he dropped Gable with a vicious kick. The luchador might now have to battle on two fronts as either Gable’s American Made or El Grande Americano himself might cause interference during the match, attacking Penta.
