Becky Lynch wants revenge in the rematch.
Tonight’s Monday Night Raw is set to emanate live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. To continue the New Year momentum, WWE will present a special Stranger Things–themed edition of the Red brand tonight.
Three title showdown along with the in-ring return of Liv Morgan has been announced for the show, including the title rematch between Maxxine Dupri and Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental title.
Lynch has suffered defeats in all of the three previous encounters, losing the title in the most recent one before Survivor Series. Additionally, she was also forced to tap out the last time the two collided, two weeks ago, in a segment. Ahead of the match, let us take a look at the three possible finishes for the showdown.
3. Maxxine Dupri retains

Maxxine Dupri has been heavily pushed by WWE since her title win, and Dupri herself has improved a lot, not just in the ring, but also her on-mic skills have been widely lauded by fans. Instead of going for the obvious choice, the promotion could opt for Durpi to retain the title tonight.
This wouldn’t just boost her momentum; another victory, ideally a clean one, would also strengthen her credibility with fans, particularly on high-profile occasions like the first anniversary of Raw’s Netflix debut and the first Raw of 2026.

2. Natalya returns

Natalya’s ‘Nattie Neidhart’ gimmick has become an instant fan-favorite with many fans demanding that the veteran and WWE feature it on the Red brand. Natalya made her first WWE appearance under the name Nattie Neidhart on the December 1 episode of Raw. She was featured in a Hart Dungeon–style training cinematic promo alongside Dupri.
Notably, the veteran has rarely been featured on the Red brand and, despite the promo, she is yet to make her return. The promotion could have been saving it for the blockbuster show tonight, where Nattie could make her official debut to help Dupri retain.
1. Becky Lynch gets the last laugh

Becky Lynch paid the price for overlooking and underestimating Dupri, a mistake that led to multiple humiliating losses and ultimately cost her the Intercontinental Championship. Despite improvement, Dupri still can’t match upto Lynch, who is a veteran of the game. Lynch is likely going to learn from the mistakes and take this rematch seriously, as there is a lot at stake.
In WWE today, a mid-card title only truly feels important when it’s held by a prominent star like Lynch, as the promotion often struggles to provide consistent focus and compelling storylines for these championships. Lynch regaining the title could also pave the way for a dream match against AJ Lee, a showdown that fans have long been hoping to see.
