LA Knight won the WWE United States Championship back at WWE SummerSlam.
LA Knight has fought tooth and nail to become one of the most popular WWE superstars of the modern era. The rise of the Megastar, which began in 2023, was cemented with a huge win at WWE SummerSlam 2024, where LA Knight dethroned Logan Paul to capture the United States Title.
With LA Knight already having defended his title successfully against Santos Escobar and Ludwig Kaiser in his Open Challenges, here are the top five picks that could face The Megastar at WWE‘s upcoming PLE, Bad Blood:
5. Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens is coming off a massive loss at the WWE Bash in Berlin against Cody Rhodes, failing to win the Undisputed WWE Title. However, Owens can channel his destructive side and might choose to continue his championship pursuits, this time against LA Knight for the WWE United States Championship.
4. Carmelo Hayes
Carmelo Hayes made a huge name for himself in WWE’s developmental brand, NXT, which led to him being drafted in the first round of the WWE Draft 2024. Since then, Hayes has displayed excellent matches against Andrade El Idolo. With the rubber match coming up for them, Hayes could win the bout and move forward to lay claim to LA Knight’s championship with a match taking place at WWE Bad Blood.
3. Andrade El Idolo
Andrade El Idolo has been gaining momentum with his stint on SmackDown ever since he returned to WWE at the 2024 Royal Rumble event. Moreover, he is also the current WWE Speed Champion. To further cement him as a marquee attraction, WWE could position El Idolo in his first major title match against LA Knight at the WWE Bad Blood, as Andrade can put on stellar showdowns.
2. Johnny Gargano
Johnny Gargano has proved his himself to be a remarkable tag team wrestler in WWE, but is yet to taste success as a singles competitor. Johnny Wrestling could get his first major opportunity on the main roster at WWE Bad Blood as LA Knight’s opponent for the US title, which could also emerge as a highly enthralling first-ever bout between both SmackDown stars.
1. Logan Paul
Logan Paul has not been seen on WWE TV ever since he dropped the United States title to LA Knight at SummerSlam. The Maverick could emerge from the shadows and exercise his rematch clause for a title match against LA Knight, with the stage set for their second showdown at WWE Bad Blood.
