Tonight’s edition will emanate from Washington.

After a year-long retirement tour, John Cena’s WWE farewell tour will arrive at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 as the 17-time World Champion prepares for his final match. The December 13 edition of SNME is set to emanate live from the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

As announced by Cena, the show will also give a platform to NXT talents to showcase their skills on the big stage against main-roster talents.

John Cena will step into the ring for the final time at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, facing one of the toughest opponents of his career, Gunther. Furthermore, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is set to face NXT Champion Oba Femi, while Bayley will go one-on-one with NXT’s rising star and high-flying former double champion Sol Ruca.

Additionally, World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will step into a high-octane showdown against two of the fastest-rising talents in NXT, Je’Von Evans and current TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater.

4. Randy Orton

Well, everyone seems to be hoping for different stars connected to John Cena’s career to make an appearance during the show. With that in mind, our choice, and hope, is that “The Viper” Randy Orton returns tonight, not to RKO Cena, but to stand alongside his longtime rival and pay tribute to him at the end of his legendary career.

Unlike other stars being speculated, Orton is not just signed with WWE but is in active competition, albeit his absence from TV since October has irked fans. Notably, Orton had been advertised for the SmackDown following Survivor Series but ultimately did not make his return.

3. New Day sucks

World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will step into a high-octane showdown against two of the fastest-rising talents in NXT, Je’Von Evans and current TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater. While Styles and Lee are the betting favorites to win the match, the underdogs could pull off an upset win.

The New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston), who were humiliated by the Tag Champions, can choose to retaliate during the match, inadvertently helping Evans and Slater pick up the win on the big stage.

2. Oba Femi pins Cody Rhodes

Another highly anticipated showdown at the show featured Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes facing NXT Champion Oba Femi. Rhodes will aim to reinforce why he is the World Champion, while Femi, fresh off reclaiming the NXT title last week, will be out to show he belongs in the ring with WWE’s top champion.

WWE could follow a John Cena vs Kevin Owens-style approach, with Femi scoring a clean pinfall over Rhodes. Such a victory would be a major boost for Femi’s career and could be something WWE revisits once he eventually moves up to the main roster.

1. Zaria betrays Sol Ruca

The tensions between Sol Ruca and Zaria have been at the forefront of NXT programming in recent weeks. The two friends seemingly buried the hatchet during this week’s NXT and hugged it out. However, the underlying tensions might still prevail.

Zaria could turn on Ruca, with her jealousy intensifying as she watches Ruca shine on the big stage against a former multi-time champion. WWE could use this massive platform to execute Zaria’s turn, giving the feud significant momentum and setting the stage for a compelling rivalry moving forward.
