Some exciting outcomes can happen on WWE SmackDown this week.
WWE SmackDown will air its January 16, 2026, episode from London, England, continuing their ongoing European tour. The event will see the new WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre, make his first appearance after beating Cody Rhodes for the title.
Along with that, huge qualifying matches to crown the new No.1 contender for the Undisputed title will happen, with potential spoilers taking place for the show.

The tensions between WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill and Jordynne Grace have been brewing for weeks. This week’s SmackDown could see a title match being made official for them, possibly at the upcoming WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Jacob Fatu returned to SmackDown last week after being mysteriously attacked a few months ago and interfered in the main event that led to Drew McIntyre beating Cody Rhodes. The Scottish Warrior could be revealed as the assailant, marking the start of their feud and possibly leading to a future title match.
4. MFTs help Solo Sikoa
Solo Sikoa will square off against Damian Priest in the aforementioned qualifying match to determine contenders for a Fatal-4 Way match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. An expected scenario could see the MFTs run interference and help Sikoa outlast Priest to move to the No.1 contender’s match.
3. Ilja Dragunov continues to lose
The string of losses for Ilja Dragunov after dropping the US title could continue on this week’s edition of SmackDown. This could see him being outlasted by Sami Zayn in the qualifier match and missing out on a huge title opportunity in the process.

The two newest stars of SmackDown, Trick Williams and the returning Matt Cardona, will battle in a qualifying match this week. While Cardona has the fan support after his comeback, WWE could build on Williams’ momentum following his NXT call-up and book him to win this match.
1. Randy Orton wins
The final qualifier match will see The Miz battle the man who took him out on his first night back on SmackDown, Randy Orton. With tensions running high between the two WWE veterans, it is likely that Orton will put his fangs in Miz’s body and defeat him to advance to the Fatal-4 Way match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
