Top five potential directions for Lucha Bros when they join WWE

Lucha Bros have reportedly signed with WWE after the end of their tenure with AEW.

The exciting luchador tag team, Lucha Bros, who rose to prominence with their stint in Mexico and later in AEW, are reportedly the newest members of the WWE roster. The duo of Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo will head straight to the main roster, either on RAW or SmackDown, following their decision not to re-sign with AEW.

With the talented luchadors beginning their new journey on the biggest wrestling stage, here are the top five potential directions for Lucha Bros in WWE:

5. LWO members

A logical direction for Lucha Bros to begin their WWE careers would be to become the new members of the LWO. The faction, being the iteration of the iconic version of the stable, with multiple Mexican athletes and fellow luchadors like Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio, would be an apt fit for them to learn the WWE style while being close to their roots with the LWO.

4. Tag Team tournament

WWE has been in the process of hosting weekly tournaments to crown No.1 contenders for the championships on both NXT and the main roster, most recently seen with the Intercontinental title. A similar tournament can be slated on either RAW or SmackDown, which could be a good spot for the introduction of Lucha Bros to WWE and make a strong impact.

3. New Alliance led by Rey Mysterio

It can be assumed that one of the motivations for Lucha Bros to sign with WWE is to work with, perhaps, the greatest luchador of all time, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. WWE could align their lucha background together by having Lucha Bros join forces with Rey Mysterio leading the charge, potentially after the end of his current faction, LWO, to explore a new direction with an all-Luchador team.

2. Main roster tag team division

Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo have impressed the entire wrestling world with their skills as a remarkable tag team in multiple promotions. Their status as a top tag team makes them befitting to join the tag team division of either RAW or SmackDown to feud with the top-level elite teams of WWE like Judgment Day, New Day, Street Profits and The Bloodline.

1. First program for the tag team titles

The Lucha Bros could make one of the biggest impacts upon their arrival in WWE by jumping the line and being straightly inserted into a tag team title match. Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo could have their first feud challenging for the tag titles on RAW and SmackDown and possibly dethrone the champions to cement their place right at the top of the tag team division.
