John Cena is often regarded as ‘The GOAT’ of WWE

R-Truth confirms he requested John Cena for his approval, and the 16-time WWE champion urged him to go for it. Truth has often mocked Cena during his battles, mimicking his movements and even wearing jorts like him. Despite being older than Cena, Truth has also referred to him as his childhood hero.

R-Truth spoke on John Cena being his childhood hero during an appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet. “Oh, man, I broke him too with that one,” he said. “That was good, man. And they’re still running with it. I love it, man. I’m not going to burst nobody’s bubble. I’m not a bubble buster. I love it. He is my childhood hero. I would be legs crossed watching him every Saturday morning.”

R-Truth also stated that he requested Cena for his permission to parody him, and Cena encouraged him to go with it. “Everything, even wearing shorts. He said, ‘Truth you don’t have to ask me to wear shorts in the ring.’ I said, ‘Man, but I want to. I want to be you,” he said. “I want to do everything you do, walk, talk. How do you hold your head to the side? I want to do everything. I want to be you.’ He said, ‘Run with it, man.’ Yeah, he’s one of the greatest.”

R-Truth also spoke on Little Jimmy

One of the most memorable inventions to emerge from Truth’s image is Little Jimmy, the fictitious child with whom the WWE star periodically communicates. It’s fair to infer Little Jimmy was owing to the veteran’s comic personality. However, the renowned invisible figure had a different genesis. During his latest interview with Chris Van Vliet, R-Truth recounted how Little Jimmy came to be. Little Jimmy was never intended to be a real character.

R-Truth said, “I was calling them ‘Little Jimmies.’ They were my ‘Little Jimmies’ — all the John Cena fans. The ones that wore the hats, the ones who wanted me to dance, the ones who wanted me to be funny. I just happened to turn to my side and said, ‘Oh look, a Little Jimmy.'”

The 52-year-old, who had recently turned heel, adopted the moniker to taunt WWE fans. While doing so, he looked to be talking to someone on his side. This evidently grabbed on with the WWE Universe, who assumed Truth was speaking to a fictional child.

Fans ate it up, so the WWE just went along with it. The former NWA World Champion revealed that WWE fans even shot photos with an empty chair, assuming Little Jimmy was right there.

Unfortunately, R-Truth hasn’t released Little Jimmy for quite some time. Nonetheless, Truth remains the most entertaining man in WWE.
