‘The Viper’ signs a five-year contract
Randy Orton, a WWE superstar, is said to have signed a new contract with the company after his previous one expired this year. It has been claimed that The Viper has signed a 5-year contract extension that would keep him with the firm until 2029.
This also fits into Orton’s plans, since he intends to retire at age 50. Randy Orton will be 49 years old when his new deal ends. It is now difficult to remark on the matter because WWE and Randy Orton have not said anything about it.
Randy Orton signed his last contract extension in 2019, which kept him with WWE until 2024. Before signing the latest contract extension, there were reports that Randy Orton may join WWE’s largest competitor, AEW. Orton has dropped multiple clues in an attempt to further his agenda and persuade WWE to meet his demands. He ended up signing a five-year contract with WWE, and it appears that he will retire there.
Several more WWE superstars have departed to join Tony Khan’s AEW brand. Dean Ambrose, Edge, and Matt Hardy are a few of the famous names.
Randy Orton’s contract signing comes naturally
A WWE insider has explained why Randy Orton’s contract extension is the natural decision. They stated, “The guaranteed money associated with contracts now is a drastic shift from what it was in 2019. There have been changes to our live event schedule, touring, international dates, media obligations, merchandise and social media that would be much fairer to just reach a new deal in many situations.”
Randy Orton is due to fight Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at Bash in Berlin, where he intends to capture the championship and become a 15-time world champion.
Orton joined with WWE in 2000 and debuted on the main roster in 2002. He went on to become one of the finest wrestlers of his period, winning 14 world championships. A victory against Gunther would bring him one world championship away from the record held by John Cena and Ric Flair.
Orton’s new contract is a good indication considering his recent injury problems. He was away for 18 months due to a back condition before returning to the Survivor Series premium live event in November. He also has a lengthy history of shoulder issues.
