Jey Uso left ‘The Bloodline’ last year

Roman Reigns makes his long-awaited comeback to WWE television at the 2024 SummerSlam, followed by an appearance on SmackDown the next week. Many expected him to reconnect with Jey Uso following this, but it may not happen for long.

In August 2023, Jey Uso departed The Bloodline and WWE after Jimmy Uso abandoned him in favor of Roman Reigns. Jey returned to the Stamford-based organization soon after, this time as a RAW star, and achieved multiple singles triumphs. At the same time, the stable remained active on SmackDown.

Following Roman’s absence at WrestleMania XL, Solo Sikoa took over as leader of the gang. The former North American Champion began his business with the new company by firing Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman before bringing in Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. Reigns returned to The Biggest Party of the Summer on his own, and it appears that this will continue for the foreseeable future.

3. Jey Uso’s hype is on a next level

As previously stated, Jey Uso went on to RAW after quitting The Bloodline. Since then, he has attempted to win the Intercontinental and World Heavyweight Championships but was not given the opportunity on SmackDown.

During Jey’s tenure on the Friday show, he was unable to flourish as a solo artist or offered opportunities. He was usually linked with Jimmy and played second fiddle to Roman. Reigns was the Undisputed Champion, therefore he couldn’t feud with him. As a result, Jey may not be eager to return to SmackDown when he is regarded as one of RAW’s best performers.

2. WWE can keep building the storyline

Solo and Roman’s animosity has only just begun; it hasn’t even been a month since they last battled. WWE’s next major Premium Live Event, Survivor Series, is more than three months away.

WWE may want to let the plot evolve gradually and without rushing, especially since there will be numerous levels between the many past and present Bloodline members and each other.

1. Roman Reigns has a lot to prove

Roman Reigns, whether family or not, has wronged numerous individuals throughout his tenure as SmackDown’s only Tribal Chief. He faced Jey multiple times and tried him on several occasions, and these occurrences will undoubtedly leave an impression on the RAW star.

If Roman Reigns wants people to join him against Solo and reconnect with Jey Uso on SmackDown to face Solo Sikoa, he must first gain his cousin’s confidence and demonstrate that he is honest and will not exploit Jey for personal benefit.
