“The Goddess of WWE” was last seen on WWE TV during the 2023 Royal Rumble
The wrestling world has been anxiously awaiting Alexa Bliss’s return to WWE after several months away from the squared circle. The former women’s champion was last seen with the organization at Royal Rumble 2023, after which she was on maternity leave.
Since then, the WWE Universe has been waiting for the former Money in the Bank winner to make his return. Several reports circulated recently that the 33-year-old star will be returning shortly. This has kept people thrilled for weeks.
However, a dismal report about her return has appeared online. According to PWInsider, the corporation appears to have canceled preparations for Bliss’ return to the Stamford-based company for the time being. According to the update, the 33-year-old was scheduled to return on January 13 as part of The Wyatt Sicks.
According to the update, the former women’s champion would most certainly miss this year’s Royal Rumble Premium Live Event, and her future with The Wyatt Sicks is questionable. In this piece, we’ll go over the possible reasons why WWE shelved preparations for Bliss’ return.
3. A fully stacked roster
WWE’s women’s division is filled with high-profile superstars such as Nia Jax, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, and Tiffany Stratton. The tales over the last two months have kept fans interested, and the women’s division has performed admirably on both RAW and SmackDown.
Aside from that, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch are anticipated to return to the company’s programming shortly, which has fueled the WWE Universe’s excitement.
With so many major names already generating news, Alexa Bliss’ comeback may be overshadowed. This might be a big reason why the Triple H-led creative team opted to cancel preparations for Alexa Bliss’ return to the organization right now.
2. Some problems with the contract
While the expiration date of Alexa Bliss’ current contract with WWE is unknown, a serious contract issue might have caused the business to cancel preparations for her comeback.
Alexa Bliss is apparently still under the same contract she had in 2023. This suggests that the previous women’s champion still has some time left on her present deal. However, backstage concerns surrounding this contract scenario might be the cause for Bliss’ homecoming date being pushed back.
This does not imply that she will not return to the organization anytime soon. The contract dispute between WWE and Bliss may be resolved, paving the way for some huge rivalries and storylines involving the star.
1. Wyatt Sicks member injured
Alexa Bliss has been speculated to return as a member of The Wyatt Sicks faction for quite some time now. While her comeback appeared impending, an injury to one of the faction’s members may have caused WWE to keep them off television for an extended period.
This might be a significant reason Bliss did not make an appearance in the company, since The Wyatt Sicks have yet to appear since their shift to SmackDown. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, one of the faction’s members has been sidelined due to an injury. However, their name is yet to be announced.
With the injured star’s comeback date undetermined, Bliss may have to wait a few weeks before returning to the squared circle once more.
