The 2024 SummerSlam PLE could be filled with several surprise returns
The 2024 SummerSlam is the upcoming biggest premium live event hosted by WWE. This is the 37th annual edition of SummerSlam, which is scheduled to be held on August 3, 2024, from the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. This is the second Big Five event of the company and is expected to be filled with some of the big storylines and feuds.
With less than one month away from WWE‘s biggest event of summer, here are five returns we can expect for WWE SummerSlam 2024.
5. Raquel Rodriguez
Raquel Rodriguez has been on hiatus since March 2024 and was nowhere seen in the main roster. Raquel has a long history with Liv Morgan & Rhea Ripley, where Liv & Ripley feuded with Ripley and got written out of TV. As Liv & Rhea are expected to feud against each other for the world title at SummerSlam 2024, Raquel Rodriguez could make her WWE return and join the mix, to help Liv Morgan retain the Women’s World Championship.
4. Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair has been on hiatus since November 2023 due to multiple leg injuries. The Queen had her surgery and has started her gym session. This seems like a positive sign for her in-ring return. It would be a great surprise if Flair makes her WWE return. Flair could help Bayley retain her WWE Women’s Championship from Nia Jax and TIffany Stratton’s cash-in.
3. Jimmy Uso
Jimmy Uso has been on hiatus since WrestleMania weekend, after being brutally assaulted by Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga, which caused him an injury. The backstage reports suggest that Jimmy Uso is cleared to compete soon and the fans are waiting for Jimmy’s return in recent weeks. Jimmy could make his return at SummerSlam to stand against The Bloodline.
2. Roman Reigns
Solo Sikoa has taken over Bloodline in Roman Reigns’ absence, by ejecting Jimmy Uso & Paul Heyman from the faction and recruiting new members into the Bloodline. Solo went on to claim himself as the Tribal Chief with the acknowledgment from the new Bloodline members. Solo has been teasing feud with Roman Reigns in recent times and this seems to be the best time for Roman’s WWE return and the backstage rumors also suggest the same.
1. The Rock
The Rock has been on hiatus since WrestleMania weekend for an indefinite period, however, he promised to be back on WWE TV later for Cody Rhodes. The Rock could make his WWE return at SummerSlam to help Solo Sikoa win the Undisputed WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes. The Bloodline storyline could elevate to a new level if The Rock joins forces with Solo Sikoa & the New Bloodline.
