Rhea Ripley shares her 'love' for WWE NXT Women's Champion

Rhea Ripley was on a long hiatus since WrestleMania 40 weekend due to a shoulder injury, which made her vacate the Women’s World Championship. After three months of being away from the WWE Television, Ripley made her return last Monday on Raw.

Following her return, she rightfully claimed her Women’s World Championship title shot at SummerSlam against Liv Morgan, who was the reason behind Ripley’s injury. Although Ripley made her return, she hasn’t got involved in a match since then. At this stage, the face of the NXT Women’s division indirectly revealed Ripley’s in-ring status.

Mami trains with Prodigy!

Rhea Ripley was caught training with the reigning NXT Women’s Champion, Roxanne Perez for her in-ring return at SummerSlam 2024. Perez shared a photo on her X, where she was with Ripley at WWE Performance Center with the caption that she loves her mami.

To which, Ripley replied saying, “And Mami loved her NXT Women’s Champion ⭐😘 #Prodigy.”

Earlier this week, it was reported that Ripley is not completely cleared to compete to wrestle until SummerSlam 2024, however, the training sessions reveal that there is good progress in her medical conditions.

Ripley and Perez previously shared the ring on an episode of NXT in October 2022 by Cora Jade’s choice, where Ripley defeated Roxanne with the Rip Tide. Following that they never shared the ring and Perez during an interview earlier this year said that she wanted to wrestle Rhea Ripley again. Roxanne said, “I do want to wrestle Rhea Ripley again.”

Roxanne also mentioned Ripley’s name during her recent promo on NXT along with other major stars such as Charlotte, Bayley, Asuka and others. Connecting all the dots and based on speculations, there could be a future angle between Roxanne & Rhea.

However, both are busy with their ongoing storylines. Ripley is set to challenge Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam 2024. On the other hand, Perez is set to defend his NXT Women’s Championship against Thea Hail at NXT Great American Bash 2024.
