‘The OTC’ is one of the Greatest WWE Superstars of all time!
Roman Reigns is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of the modern era, who is having a legendary run with WWE. Reigns has been on WWE television since 2012, making a huge impact on the main roster both as a face and a heel. Reigns saw both the ups and downs in the business and evolved himself into one of the greatest stars of all time.
Roman has been away from WWE TV since being attacked by The Bloodline. At this stage, Roman recently appeared at Bloomberg’s Power Players gathering in New York with his Wiseman & WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman. During the interview Roman Reigns discussed a number of topics and here are the key highlights of what the Original Tribal Chief said at the Power Players Summit.
Roman Reigns on WWE moving to Netflix
Roman Reigns was asked about WWE Raw moving to Netflix and his thoughts about the move. To which Roman said that the move to Netflix changes the complete landscape of the company. He said that the company’s growth since 2020 was incredible and it is a big opportunity for them to showcase their product on Netflix.
When asked about the company potentially pushing edgier content on Netflix said that he loves to make it PG, as he feels that it could connect to a broader audience. He believes that there will be a fine limit where the company could push the envelope in certain senses. However, he wishes to stick with the values and morals that they set now.
Reigns was asked about Netflix data and how it could impact the storylines. To which Roman said that he wanted all the data, as they can script wherever is best for the business, saying that it could make their job much easier.
Roman Reigns on John Cena claiming Roman as the GOAT
Roman Reigns was asked about John Cena calling him the Greatest of All time, based on the numbers Roman made in the TKO stock and the influence he has in the industry.
To which Roman hilariously said, “The numbers don’t lie [laughed], I would say, I’m Taylor Swift out there, but we have a great team. I have a Wiseman. Business has been really good. It’s one of those weird situations. This is where I would normally be like, ‘Paul, brag about me.’”
Roman however said that being the GOAT is subjective and it is the weird part of the job. He said that he can be wherever people feel he is. He said that he saw John Cena’s early career as a top guy and the face of the company and nobody knows better about this conversation than him and finally agreed to Cena’s claim.
Roman Reigns hints potential heel-turn
Roman was asked about whether being a babyface or being a heel better fits him. To which Roman said that he feels easy to work as a babyface, but he has more fun as a bad guy. As his future is bright, he needs to look at what’s better for business.
Roman Reigns said,
“Well, the business was its most successful with me as a heel but, you know, the future looks bright so we’ll see. I think babyface is an easier side to actually perform in, but it’s so much more fun as a bad guy.”
