Roman Reigns 'pulled' from upcoming scheduled WWE Event: Reports

‘The Tribal Chief’ was last seen on WWE TV during WrestleMania 40 weekend

Roman Reigns is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, who has been the face of WWE for the last ten years. Roman is highly regarded as the most successful and influential wrestler of the company.

The Tribal Chief was the dominant champion with his Universal Championship reign for the past three and a half years. However his historical reign came to an end at WrestleMania 40 Night 2, when Cody Rhodes dethroned Roman Reigns to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. 

After the loss, Roman left the arena with disappointment and was never seen then. Roman got pulled out from Paul Heyman, stating that he won’t be back anytime soon. It was expected that Roman will be taking a long hiatus, but will be back later this year as WWE has been promoting Roman Reigns to an event in the time of SummerSlam, however it seems like his scheduled appearance got pulled off. Here are the details of Roman Reigns’ WWE return status.

Roman Reigns’ pulled from WWE event

It was previously reported that Roman Reigns was advertised for the August 2, 2024 episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, Cleveland, Ohio. Which is the last episode of SmackDown, held a day before SummerSlam 2024 in Cleveland Browns Stadium, Cleveland, Ohio. However WWE has pulled him off from the promotion poster and from the featured superstar list. WWE then replaced the Featured Superstar list with a note stating, “Featured Superstar information for this event is not yet available.”

However in the promotional banner, WWE has confirmed some of the major stars’ appearances for the show including Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, Bayley, Randy Orton, Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill. WWE will also be hosting the SummerSlam 2024 PLE on August 3, 2024 at Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, United States.

Based on Roman being pulled off from the event, it seems like Roman Reigns won’t be available during the SummerSlam this year and making his return timeline unknown. 

Reigns is currently working in a Hollywood project with Eddie Murphy, Keke Palmer, and Pete Davidson for a “Heist Comedy” movie. We need to wait until official information of Roman Reigns’s return is revealed. Do you miss the Tribal Chief already? Tell us in the comments below.
