Roman Reigns to return and interfere in CM Punk vs Seth Rollins steel cage match on WWE RAW: Exploring possibilities

The OTC has been absent from WWE programming since the Royal Rumble PLE

‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns has been out of action since the Royal Rumble 2025 PLE where he was viciously attacked by Seth Rollins after being eliminated in the men’s Rumble match. The OTC entered the match at number 16 while Punk and Rollins entered at the 24th and 25th numbers respectively.

Reigns and Rollins’ dream came crashing down as during their in-ring battle Punk capitalized and eliminated both of them. However, Punk too was shortly eliminated by Logan Paul as after he eliminated Reigns and Rollins.

While Reigns and Punk argued, Seth launched a vicious attack as he landed a double foot stomp on the concrete floor on Reigns and started brawling with Punk. Rollins continued the assault on his former Sheild brother as he delivered another brutal stomp this time on the steel steps, causing Reigns to collapse as the officials checked on the OTC.

During the 02/03 fallout show of Monday Night RAW, Michael Cole from the commentary booth provided an update on Reigns’ situation, while Cole didn’t provide any specific details, he did informed that Reigns will be sidelined for the foreseeable future.

CM Punk will battle Seth Rollins in a steel cage match on the 03/10 episode of WWE RAW

Rollins repeated his actions from the Rumble PLE and even after being eliminated in the men’s Elimination Chamber match, he landed a brutal stomp on CM Punk which helped John Cena to win the match. The attack angered Punk who called Rollins out on the fallout show of Monday Night Raw.

The animosity between the two stars once again took centre stage as Rollins appeared Punk darted towards him and the brawl began. While security and officials were successful in getting some separation after multiple attempts, the two stars once again collided backstage.

General Manager Adam Pearce stated that he was tired of seeing their tensions and encouraged Rollins to settle it once and for all with Punk. Pearce scheduled a Steel Cage bout between the two for the 03/10 episode of Raw at Madison Square Garden.

While fans are excited to see the rematch between the two rivals, the shadow of Roman Reigns looms large over the match. There is a possibility that Reigns makes an appearance during the match and exacts his revenge on Rollins, costing him the match.

Reports have suggested that the promotion is planning a triple-threat match between Reigns, Rollins and Punk at WrestleMania 41. Reigns was likely absent due to this reason and might make an appearance during the match.
