Tonga Loa along with Bloodline 2.0 recently attacked Roman Reigns
The idea of a tag team between ‘The Original Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns and one part of the current WWE Tag Team Champion Tonga Loa is unimaginable for WWE fans today. However, in an old video from 2011 Loa and Reigns fought as a team in the Florida Wrestling Championship.
In recent times, Roman Reigns has become not just the biggest star of the WWE but the face of the company. The OTC has had an amazing career winning a total of six world championships in WWE. He has held the WWE Championship four times and the WWE Universal Championship twice.
Roman Reigns also holds the fourth-longest world title reign of 1,316 days. His title reign was also the longest championship reign since 1988.
On the other hand, Tonga Loa made his return to the promotion after ten years at Backlash France on May 4, 2024. Loa helped Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga in defeating Kevin Owens and Randy Orton in a Tag Team Street Fight.
Loa returned as a heel and joined the Bloodline in the process of helping Sikoa and Tonga. On May 31, Tonga made his in-ring return on SmackDown. Loa is currently the WWE Tag Team Champion along with Tama Tonga.
Roman Reigns formed a tag team with Tonga Loa to challenge Calvin Raines and Big E Langston
On August 19, 2010, Reigns signed a contract with WWE in 2010. He was later assigned to WWE’s developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). While was signed a developmental contract with the promotion on February 10, 2009, and was assigned to FCW.
Roman Reigns then known as Leakee formed a tag team with Tonga Loa who fought under the ring name Donny Marlow. The pair took on Calvin Raines and WWE star Big E for the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship on July 8.
However, the team of Reigns and Loa were unsuccessful in their attempt to win the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship. In the video, a young Reigns and Loa can be seen making an entrance to the ring together as a tag team.
A team-up between the two tag team partners from 2011 is a far-fetched idea today as Solo Sikoa along with Bloodline 2.0 is in a fierce rivalry with Reigns in recent episodes of SmackDown. Sikoa betrayed Reigns and claimed the title of Tribal Chief.
