Roman Reigns is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of the modern era, who has been a part of some of the biggest moments of the show. He has been in the company for over a decade and has been a top star of the company throughout his journey. He is a nine time champion in WWE with six world championship reigns.

Roman Reigns is currently at the peak of his career and for the last four years has made and set a number of monumental records throughout this heel journey. He is currently the longest-reigning champion on the current roster and breaks records along with the reign. It is now reported that Roman has surpassed yet another milestone with his monumental championship reign.

Roman Reigns’ 1300 days reign

At Summerslam 2020, Roman Reigns dethroned “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in a Triple Threat match involving Braun Strowman to win the Universal Championship for the second time.

On January 16, 2022 Roman Reigns surpassed 503 days reign to surpass Brock Lesnar’s longest reigning Universal Championship record and holded the sixth-longest world championship reign in WWE. At WrestleMania 38, Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship for the fourth time and merged it to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

On January 18, 2023, Roman Reigns surpassed Gunther’s NXT UK Championship reign of 870 days. With that he became the longest reigning champion of WWE since 1988. At WrestleMania 39, Roman Reigns became the first person to defend the same championship in the same reign in the main event of three WrestleManias in a row.

In May 2023, Roman Reigns surpassed 1000 days as the Universal Champion and became the first to reach the 1000-day mark in the last 35 years and became the only fifth person to take the World Championship to this long.

In June 2023, Reigns surpassed  Pedro Morales’ 1027 days reign to have the fifth longest reign in WWE. On March 22, 2024, Reigns surpassed 1300 days reign with the Universal Championship & 718 days reign with the WWE Championship.

Romans’ next title defense will be at WrestleMania Night 2, where Roman defends his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes in the main event.
