After a dominant run in the developmental brand, NXT’s former NXT Women’s Champion, Roxanne Perez, took part in the women’s Royal Rumble at the namesake PLE in February 2025. She set the record for the longest time spent in a women’s Royal Rumble match at 1 hour and 7 minutes.
This was a display of what Perez is capable of when given the opportunity, and while she failed to regain the NXT Women’s title at Vengeance Day in a fatal four-way match, fans demanded that the promotion put her in major storylines.
After her storyline with Bayley was unceremoniously scrapped, Perez, along with former NXT Women’s Champion Giulia, arrived on Monday Night Raw to kick off a feud with Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley.
Following weeks of sneak attacks and a singles clash against Iyo Sky, where Perez suffered defeat as the Women’s World Champion pinned her, an ambush afterwards alongside Giulia led to the promotion to make a tag team match between the two, with Rhea Ripley joining Iyo Sky’s side.
Roxanne Perez is the youngest woman to main-event Monday Night Raw
Perez, along with Giulia, took on the team of Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky in the main event of the May 12 episode of Monday Night Raw, which aired live from the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. The episode served as the fallout show from Backlash 2025.
Despite a tough showing, the newcomers from the developmental brand failed to defeat the veterans as Ripley landed Riptide on Giulia to pick up the win in the main event.
With the main event performance, Perez edged her name in the history books once again as she became the youngest woman to main event Monday Night Raw. Perez has joined the ranks of legends like Randy Orton, who is also the youngest world champion in WWE history after he won the World Heavyweight Championship at the age of 24.
Additionally, Roxanne Perez is the 3rd youngest overall to main-event the Red brand’s show behind Randy Orton and Kenny Dykstra. Giulia has now joined the Friday Night SmackDown brand on May 16, which means Perez will begin her singles career and a potential mid-card title on the Red brand.
The Prodigy will likely reach immense heights as she is currently 23 and has achieved multiple accolades, titles, and records in the WWE, and with her spot main roster, multiple titles are within reach for the former two-time NXT Women’s Champion.
