Roxanne Perez 'invites' Bayley to WWE NXT; Bianca & Naomi to defend tag-titles on 1/28 show

Roxanne Perez appeared on the 01/17 episode of SmackDown
The newly crowned WWE Women’s Tiffany Stratton defended her crown against Bayley in the main event of the 01/17 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. However, the thing that caught fans’ attention was the presence of former NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez.
Perez and Bayley engaged in a brawl on the New Year’s Evil fallout show of NXT where Perez was addressing the fandom following her title loss against Giulia at New Year’s Evil. The two stars ended the show with a brawl which kicked off their feud.
Bayley failed in her attempts last night against Stratton who successfully defended her title in the main event. While fans sympathized with Bayley, Perez couldn’t care less as she mocked the legend for her loss.
During her interview with Byron Saxton, Roxanne invited Bayley to come down on the 01/21 show of NXT which will emanate from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Perez also stated that the former champion ‘doesn’t have it anymore’ and that if she shows up on ‘her show,’ Perez will offer notes on how to ‘be a champion.’
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match set for 01/28 show of NXT
On the 01/17 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, the Stamford-based promotion made a huge announcement regarding the Women’s Tag Team titles. The current tag champions Bianca Belair and Naomi will defend the title against Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend (Meta Girls).
Belair and Naomi will defend the title against the no.1 contenders in the 01/28 episode of the developmental brand which will emanate from the Center Stage Theater, Atlanta, Georgia, United States.
Legend and Jackson bagged the No.1 contender spot on the 01/14 episode of the developmental brand after defeating the team of Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre (Unholy Union).
Belair and Noami recently clashed with Nia Jax and Candice LeRae in a non-title match on the recent episode of SmackDown which featured the title clash between Bayley and Stratton. The tag champions picked up the win in the clash and are now set to defend their tag titles for the second time in Atlanta.
