The show has been canceled after a three-year run

WWE has quietly cancelled the SmackDown LowDown show according to Scott Stanford. Stanford hosted the show weekly alongside Megan Morant. The show offered a 30-minute recap of SmackDown’s top moments, along with exclusive backstage interviews featuring WWE Superstars.

The January 3 episode of the Blue brand was the first three-hour show, marking the transition of the brand to a three-hour format. However, fans were surprised and puzzled to see no LowDown show following the show in Phoenix as has been the norm.

Responding to a fan query on X (Twitter) Scott Stanford confirmed that the show has been canceled by the promotion. “It is not! All wrapped up.” Scott wrote.

However, it seems like he has since deleted the tweet as it is not available on his account, down below is a screengrab of the tweet.

The show first premiered in October 2020 as a weekly post-show featuring various interviews in each episode. It originally started as Talking Smack on the free tier of WWE Network. However, the name was changed after A&E launched a show called Smack Talk in 2022.

This isn’t the first instance of the promotion canceling a post-SmackDown show. The popular Talking Smack, hosted by Renee Paquette and Daniel Bryan, was canceled in 2018 after airing for two years.

WWE announces new Raw post-show on social media

Ahead of the historic debut of Monday Night Raw on Netflix, the promotion has revealed its plans for a Raw post-show which will air on the Netflix YouTube account and all of WWE’s social media accounts following the big Netflix premiere on January 6. The show will feature Joe Tessitore, Wade Barrett, and Big E as hosts.

However, it is uncertain whether the Raw post-show will be a regular feature or just a special addition for the historic Raw’s Netflix debut. If it becomes a permanent fixture, Raw Talk will also be canceled similar to LowDown.

The show is currently in its ninth season and is hosted by Megan Morant and Sam Roberts who give a complete recap of the night’s biggest moments. The show also features exclusive interviews with superstars from the Red brand.
