Seth Rollins’ betrayal on The Shield is considered as the biggest sin in WWE

The Shield was one of the most iconic wrestling stables, consisting of Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. They made their WWE as one in 2012 and were more dominant and successful throughout their run. In 2019 the stable was disbanded following the departure of Dean Ambrose.

Although a number of years passed, The Shield is still praised for their great accomplishments and Seth Rollins’ betrayal of The Shield is considered as the biggest betrayal in WWE history, as no one saw the trio would ever break into parts. Rollins recently opened up on his betrayal of Roman Reigns & The Shield and answers to whether they could reunite or not.

Seth Rollins on betraying Roman Reigns

Seth Rollins in a recent interview on ESPN’s Sportscenter was asked about his betrayal of Roman Reigns in 2014 and whether they could reunite again. Rollins said that he was asked about it a number of times. Rollins said that there is no chance of reuniting, based on where they are now.

Rollins said,

“Yeah, I have. I’ve been asked about it a lot. Obviously, I think that’s the one thing that if you’re a fan of Seth Rollins or The Shield or Jon Moxley, Roman Reigns —I think that’s the one thing that kind of sits with you over the course of the last 10 years, essentially.”

“I get asked about it all the time, and I’ve thought about it: ‘Would you go back? Would you change it? Would you do something different?’ My answer is unequivocally no, I wouldn’t because where we’re at now, the business as a whole is healthier than it’s ever been.”

Rollins explained further saying that at that time the momentum went shifting and it was the best way to split themselves.

Rollins said,

“That moment in time is what shifted everything. That’s what put us all on our separate paths. Our goal in the beginning was to run the show, to run the business, to change it, to make it better. Here we are a decade later, and I dare say it was accomplished with the swing of that steel chair.”
