Becky Lynch has plans to retire from pro wrestling
‘The Man’ Becky Lynch has been absent from WWE television since her last appearance against Liv Morgan on the 05/27/24 episode of Monday Night Raw which was held at the Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia.
In a recent conversation with WFAN, Lynch’s husband and WWE superstar, “The Visionary” Seth Rollins provided an update on Lynch’s return ahead of the WrestleMania 41 PLE in April.
Rollins stated that Lynch has no plans to hang up her wrestling boots and is currently gearing up for her return. He also stated that he has no idea when her return will materialize, but confirmed that Lynch has not mentioned anything about retirement.
“She took a few months off, she did some television and film projects. She’s gearing up to get ready to come back. Don’t know when that is going to happen just yet, but she is active. She is not retired. She has not mentioned anything about retirement. There are future plans for her in professional wrestling,” Rollins said.
Bekcy’s appearance in the Raw Netflix promo video in January created a lot of buzz with fans wondering if she will make her return on the Raw Netflix debut show. However, Lynch is yet to make her return and it is still unknown when she will return to WWE programming.
Seth Rollins plans to hang up his wrestling boots at 45
During the conversation with WFAN, The Visionary also hinted at his potential retirement from wrestling, revealing that while his body is currently in great shape, he’s considering a timeline for hanging up his boots as an in-ring competitor.
“45 maybe really sounds all right to me, I think. It’s kind of going to depend on what I do in the next few years as far as outside of WWE or behind the scenes in WWE. Both of those things are appealing to me. So just got to figure out what that feels like. But like my body’s definitely…I feel good right now. I feel very good.” Rollins stated.
Rollins recently found himself on the wrong end of an ambush as during his steel cage match against CM Punk on the 03/10 episode of Monday Night Raw, he was attacked by “The OTC” Roman Reigns. The OTC made his return during the match and pulled Rollins out of the arena effectively meaning that he won.
However, it wasn’t a good thing for Rollins as Reigns returned the favor from the Royal Rumble PLE and landed a brutal stomp on Rollins. He was looking for a second stomp on the steel steps when officials and security rushed in to diffuse the situation.
