Seth Rollins vs CM Punk match set to take place before WWE WrestleMania 41: Report

WWE RAW on Netflix will see many top stars and matches

WWE is doing everything they can to make RAW’s Netflix debut memorable. CM Punk, Roman Reigns, John Cena, and Cody Rhodes have already confirmed their appearances. According to reports, CM Punk vs Seth Rollins will take place on WWE RAW’s Netflix launch.

Previously, it was reported that CM Punk will challenge Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40. Unfortunately, Punk was hindered with an injury and missed WrestleMania 40 entirely. However, WWE has continued to advertise the tensions between the two, and they have been trading hot promos for quite some time.

On this week’s edition of RAW, CM Punk stated that he does not understand Seth Rollins’ animosity for him. Punk revealed how he and Rollins went back in time and how he coached a 16-year-old Rollins for free. Here’s what he said:

“Now that entitlement I think has carried over into the adult Seth Rollins you know who wants to be the best in the world he wants to be on everybody’s top 10 list of the greatest of all time but I remember a time when he was on the top 10 list of people to be fired from this place and I shielded him from that you know, I guess if I have to live in my shadow I’d hate me too”

Rollins then expressed his animosity for Punk and how his exit from WWE prompted Seth to turn against him. He clarified his views by adding, “11 years ago I called him, I texted him, because I was a friend, and because I respected him and what he stood for, and what did I get back from Punk? Nothing, I got ghosted by CM Punk and it wasn’t just me it was every single person who was friends with Punk.”

Rollins went on to say that Punk only returned because he had destroyed all previous bridges and the money was good. Without these two factors, Punk would never have entered WWE. Rollins made it clear that he was no longer in Punk’s shadow.

Seth claimed that he has done everything CM Punk has done in WWE twice. Rollins also said that he had main evented WrestleMania, something that Punk never had the chance to accomplish.
