The two stars have crossed each other’s path multiple times

‘The Visionary’ Seth Rollins has been at the top of the men’s division for a very long time and has crossed paths with multiple stars. While he has a healthy relationship with most there are some stars whom he despises and then there are some with who he has an on-again off-again rivalry.

Judgement Day’s Finn Balor is one such individual with whom Rollins has had some great matches and feuds. While in recent times, the two stars remained clear of each other’s path, the rivalry has kicked off once again.

The Visionary has been with the Stamford-based promotion since the 2010s and made his main roster debut in 2012 alongside Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley), the faction known as ‘The Shield’ soon became a cultural phenomenon and defined the career of the three stars.

Following his separation from the faction in 2014, Rollins kicked off his singles career which saw him capture the United States title (2x), the Intercontinental title (2x), the World Tag Team title (6x) as well as the Undisputed WWE title twice.

The Visionary has also held the World Heavyweight title multiple times, however, in recent times he has failed to capture gold in the promotion and is looking to reclaim the glory ahead of the WrestleMania PLE.

On the other hand, Balor kicked off his WWE career in 2014 with the developmental brand, NXT. In 2016 he was promoted to the main roster and quickly rose to the top capturing the Univeral Championship (Undisputed WWE title).

After capturing the Intercontinental title twice and the United States title once, Balor kicked off his tag-title run after joining the Judgment Day. He initially captured the Tag Team titles and the World Tag Team titles twice with Damian Priest.

However, after his fallout with Priest, he teamed with JD McDonagh and held the World Tag Team titles for 175 days. After losing the title Balor is once again focusing on his singles run.

The two stars have fought each other a total of twenty fives times with ten of them being on either PLEs or broadcasted shows. When it comes to broadcasted shows the two stars have clashed ten times with the majority of them being on Monday Night Raw.

Rollins and Balor first locked horns at the 2016 SummerSlam PLE where the vacant WWE Universal title was on the line. Balor emerged victorious in the first meeting but Rollins took back the win in their next meeting which was in the January 15, 2018 episode on Monday Night Raw.

In their third meeting, Balor managed to defeat the Visionary and take the lead which was quickly hashed as Rollins has since then been undefeated against Balor and has won the seven encounters since April 2018.

Total Matches: 11

Seth Rollins: 09

Finn Balor: 02

The two stars recently battled in the 2025 men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying match, where the winner was to be the final participant in the match and would join John Cena, CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, and Damian Priest.

Despite tough opposition from Balor, Rollins stayed in the match battling injuries and in the end, he landed the stomp to pick up the win and secure his spot in the men’s Chamber match
