The promotion is heading east next month!
WWE is heading back to Japan next month for a big Supershow tour, with the company set to host two consecutive events at the iconic Ryōgoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo on October 17 and 18. Multiple big names, including CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley, Jey Uso, and Asuka, will be featured on the show
Additionally, the show will also mark the in-ring return of Shinsuke Nakamura. The former US Champion has been absent from WWE programming since the June 13, 2025, episode of SmackDown, where he competed in a King of the Ring qualifying match.
The tour is a significant homecoming for Nakamura, who gained international fame in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where he became a three-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion and a five-time IWGP Intercontinental Champion before joining the Stamford-based promotion.
The event will also showcase a high-stakes World Heavyweight Championship bout, along with a headline showdown for the Women’s U.S. Title. The match cards for both events were unveiled during the Japanese broadcast of Friday Night SmackDown on the ABEMA streaming platform.

Ridge Holland suffers an injury during TNA tapings
WWE NXT star Ridge Holland suffered a serious injury during TNA Impact television tapings on Saturday night in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Holland was battling former TNA X-Division Champion Moose.
As per fans in attendance, Holland landed awkwardly on his leg and was unable to put any weight on it. The referee promptly stopped the match, and officials had to carry Holland out of the arena, with Moose lending a hand in the process.
According to a report from PWInsider, the match was awarded to Moose via referee stoppage, as Holland was unable to compete. As of now, there is no update on the severity of Holland’s injury. The NXT star was enjoying a strong run in the developmental brand, and a severe injury will likley halt his momentum.
Charlotte Flair reveals ring names she pitched to WWE
In a recent conversation with Kate Mackz, one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Charlotte Flair revealed multiple ring names that she pitched to WWE.
“I pitched a few names. I pitched Elizabeth Reid. I loved Miss Elizabeth and then my little brother’s name was Reid. They were like, ‘No, your dad’s from Charlotte. We’re naming you Charlotte.’
I could have gone by Ashley Flair. Probably, being Ric’s kid, it was like, ‘We’re gonna give her a stage name, like, not to be Ashley Flair. When I first started, I wasn’t Charlotte Flair. I was just Charlotte. They didn’t attach my last name until, like, four or five years later.”
