The NXT North American Champion has been backed by Shawn Michaels
The wrestling industry is abuzz with speculation regarding Oba Femi’s future now that Shawn Michaels, WWE’s Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, has highlighted his potential. Michaels’ support of Femi as a potential main roster star, maybe even appearing on the greatest platform of all, WrestleMania, has sparked debate among fans and insiders alike.
In a recent interview on the Battleground podcast, Michaels shared his love for Femi’s ability and manner without hesitation. “You can just see it by the way he carries himself… He’s a very complete young man,” Michaels stated. Femi’s accomplishments in both his adolescent and university years, along with his extraordinary composure and maturity, have definitely drawn the notice of WWE’s top guy
Femi’s WWE career has been nothing short of amazing. From winning the NXT Breakout Tournament to defeating Dragon Lee for the NXT North American Championship, Femi has grabbed spectators with his strong style. Despite being with WWE for only a short time, Femi has made an immediate impression, establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with in the ring.
Should Oba Femi move to the main roster?
With Michaels predicting Femi as a potential main roster hero, the issue becomes: Is it time for Oba Femi to make the move to the main roster? While Femi’s reign as NXT North American Champion is still in its early stages, the possibility of watching him battle against the best talent on Raw or SmackDown is undeniably exciting.
Currently, we don’t feel Femi should go to the main roster as WWE is already pushing new storylines and then to steal the momentum Femi is having right now would be lost coming into the main roster, but WWE should plan something special if Oba Femi makes his main roster debut somewhere down the line.
In addition to Femi, WWE officials believe Trick Williams has a promising future. With speculations indicating that WWE sees Williams as a possible future WrestleMania main eventer, the NXT roster is overflowing with potential main roster stars eager to make their mark.
As the WWE audience awaits Femi’s next move, one thing is certain: Oba Femi’s rise from the NXT Breakout Tournament to NXT North American Champion has been nothing short of extraordinary. Oba Femi’s future in WWE appears tremendously bright, whether he continues to dominate in NXT or moves on to the main roster.
