The Beast Incarnate made an appearance during SummerSlam 2025!

‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar made his earth-shattering return during the final moments of Night 2 of SummerSlam 2025. This was his first WWE appearance since his loss to Cody Rhodes at the 2023 edition of SummerSlam.

Lesnar returned after the main event, where Cody Rhodes defeated John Cena to regain the Undisputed WWE title in a street fight. The Beast stepped into the ring, attacking Cena and slamming him down with an F5.

Since SummerSlam, Lesnar has once again is absent from WWE programming, meanwhile Cena is set to battle Logan Paul in a singles match at the upcoming Clash in Paris PLE. Here we take a look at the top three signs that Lesnar will make his return at the PLE this Sunday.

3. Possible main-even return

As of writing this article, the poster for Cena and Paul’s match is featured image on Clash in Paris ticket section on WWE.com, this has led many fans to speculate that the singles clash will headline the show in France this Sunday.

If Cena and Paul lock horns in the main event, then similar to SummerSlam Lesnar might make his return after the match attacking Cena once again to set up their eventual clash at the upcoming Wrestlepalooza.

2. Ending of last week’s SmackDown

In the final moments of the (August 22) episode of SmackDown, GM Nick Aldis caught up with John Cena, informing him that he had heard from Brock Lesnar. Before he could speak further, Logan Paul came in and knocked out Cena with a massive right hand.

This moment might be the subtle hint by the WWE of Lesnar’s return, which likley won’t be at the PLE and not at the go-home show of SmackDown this week as it would only foreshadow the Cena vs Paul clash.

1. Headlining Wrestlepalooza

WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. As per reports, Cena and Lesnar are set to headline the show and the promotion can use the shocking return of Lesnar to build up hype among fans.

The stacked PLE schedule of WWE has meant the storyline and build towards big matches have suffered, and the promotion might have to resort to using quick, shallow angles to fill the gaps. The main event return could just do that give the Lesnar and Cena’s starpower.
