Solo Sikoa kicked off his main roster run in 2022.

Solo Sikoa kicked off his main roster run in 2022 as the ‘Enforcer of the Bloodline.’ However, Sikoa soon capitalised on Roman Reigns‘ absence after the latter’s title loss at WrestleMania 40 to take over the Bloodline and recruit stars who are loyal to him.

Sikoa even stole the sacred ‘Ula Fala’, leading to a match where the Ula Fala was on the line against Roman during the Raw Netflix debut in 2025. A match Solo lost, exposing a major blunder from WWE, which failed to book him properly.

However, what killed his momentum even more was WWE’s insistence for Sikoa to act and sound exactly like a ‘wanna be’ Roman Reigns and not let him build his own character and connect with fans.

Is Solo Sikoa a main event heel or mid-card powerhouse?

While it doesn’t help for Solo to be opposite and antagonise stars who are beloved by fans, even heels like Jacob Fatu do get some cheers and intrigue from fans due to proper booking and a clear plan. When it comes to Solo, even WWE isn’t sure if he is a main event heel or mid-card powerhouse.

Take, for example, Solo currently leads the MFTs (My Family Tree), a faction that consists of Talla Tonga, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and JC Mateo. However, there are no clear creative plans for the faction who seem to just wander around with Solo butting heads with everyone.

Despite being the leader of a massive faction, Solo isn’t levelling everyone, capturing mid-card titles, let alone the World titles, but is taking pinfall losses despite the faction members there to help him. What also doesn’t help is WWE pulling him, just like the Usos, back into the Bloodline drama every time Roman comes around for more than a few weeks.

Solo has been on the main roster since 2022, and the only singles title he has held so far is the United States Championship. Fans have also been vocal about wanting WWE to stop pushing him in serious heel roles, as they’ve seen how genuinely entertaining and unintentionally hilarious Solo can be when the company lets his personality come through naturally.

Sikoa has delivered multiple iconic and hilarious moments ringside as well as in the ring, during interaction with fans, despite his heel persona, and WWE should capitalise on it more. Just take a look at his Money in the Bank appearance and tell me why Sikoa will have any problem getting over with the fans.

Sikoa likely can deliver iconic segments with the likes of Danhausen and R-Truth. Additionally, the directionless MFT faction isn’t doing any favours for Solo or anyone in the faction. It is only damaging their momentum.

A singles run for Solo, leading to a good US title run or even a World title run or a feud for the World title, will help put Solo over in front of fans, some of whom are already aware of Solo’s capabilities as a performer, especially those unscripted moments where he just takes the spotlight and runs away with it.

Sometimes, WWE should let talents breathe and develop their persona, and we have seen with the recent debut of Danhausen, who has taken over the promotion by storm despite a poor debut at Elimination Chamber. While to their credit, WWE has pushed Danhausen, but at the end of the day, putting him in a mould and not letting him do what he does best is likely going to go wrong, as you might think.

That said, Solo has still been able to work through it all and even deliver some incredible moments. However, to reach the main event status and a fan favourite star, he needs to branch out on his own, similar to Jey Uso, and not let WWE push him back into the Roman Reigns-Bloodline vortex, until there is a proper storyline and not WWE needing to fill the timeslot or out of sheer laziness.

When did Solo Sikoa make his main-roster debut?

Solo made his main roster debut as the ‘Enforcer of the Bloodline’ in 2022.

How many titles has Solo Sikoa held on the main roster?

Solo has held both the United States and the WWE Tag Team titles (alongside Tama Tonga as The MFTs) once. He also held the WWE NXT North American title once during his time on NXT.
