Solo Sikoa vs Jacob Fatu planned for WrestleMania 41; AJ Styles could face Finn Balor: Report

The Road to WrestleMania 41 is underway
WWE is allegedly planning a big fight between new Bloodline members Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa at WrestleMania 41. Sikoa previously lost to Roman Reigns in a Tribal Combat match on WWE RAW’s Netflix launch.
Tension between Sikoa and Fatu has been building since Sikoa lost the Ula Fala to Reigns on WWE RAW’s Netflix debut. Following his defeat, Sikoa withdrew from WWE television, leaving Fatu to emerge as a dominant force.
Jacob Fatu instantly caused devastation on the roster, picking former Universal Champion Braun Strowman as his first target. Fatu competed in a grueling match against Strowman at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas.
Fatu’s continuous assault resulted in a disqualification, but he did not stop there. He performed many double-jump moonsaults from the top rope, leaving Strowman bleeding. Fatu also delivered an outstanding performance in the Men’s Royal Rumble battle.
As his popularity grew, Solo Sikoa returned to WWE SmackDown on February 7th to confront Cody Rhodes. Following his return, Sikoa sought to rejoin with Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga from the new Bloodline.
Solo Sikoa, on the other hand, attempted to assist Jacob Fatu in qualifying for the men’s Elimination Chamber match, but his efforts were unsuccessful. With tensions rising between the two, speculations say WWE is gearing up for a big clash between Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
WrestleVotes’ Backstage Pass Q&A revealed that Jacob Fatu will meet his former Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa, at this year’s WrestleMania.
The report states: “There’s a lot going on there. I don’t know what everybody’s plans are… but I do know they’re gearing up towards Jacob vs Solo. So after months of speculation that Solo is gonna wrestle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, they shift that to Jacob Fatu and we’ll see how it plays out. AJ Styles ‘planned’ to face former Bullet Club leader
AJ Styles might meet a familiar rival at WrestleMania, in what could be the finest bout of the weekend. With WrestleMania 41 less than ten weeks away, the promotion is completing the card behind the scenes to guarantee that the company’s greatest talents have matches scheduled for The Show of Shows.
As of this writing, the only confirmed matchups for Mania 41 are Gunther vs Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship and Tiffany Stratton vs Charlotte Flair for the WWE Women’s Championship. With several top stars still without a match, Styles’ prospective opponent is one he is well acquainted with.
WrestleVotes noted on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass podcast that AJ Styles vs Finn Balor is a possibility as long as the promotion does not postpone Styles vs. Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker till Las Vegas.
“I could see it, I don’t think it will happen [Dominik Mysterio vs. Finn Balor]. I’ve heard potentially AJ Styles, if it’s not Bron Breakker, for Finn in a singles match, first time ever at WrestleMania. As we reported last week, I do believe the undercard is still being worked on…I think a lot of shuffling is still going on there.”
