Solo Sikoa's actual NXT plans before WWE main roster call up
Solo Sikoa is one of the most dominant wrestlers of the SmackDown brand and is the Enforcer of The Bloodline. Before being called up for the main roster in September 2022, Solo Sikoa wrestled for WWE's secondary developmental brand NXT. Upon main roster call up, he forfeited his NXT North American Championship and his actual plan on NXT was scrapped. With more than one year since his main roster debut, Solo Sikoa revealed his actual NXT plans.
Solo Sikoa's actual NXT plans
As Solo Sikoa previously revealed that he only found out that he will be heading to the main roster only at the weekend of the event. He recently spoke with Josh Martinez on Superstar Crossover, where he spoke about his actual plans in NXT and who was supposed to be his opponents.
Solo Sikoa said,
“I felt like, before I got called up, there were a lot of plans to go after [the NXT North American Championship], to go over Carmelo Hayes and maybe Bron Breakker, you know, generation versus generation.
I just felt like it worked out just fine. Just letting everybody know that I never lost the North American Title. I had to give it up, so that’s different things. I just felt like the plans worked out just fine because I’m here and I’m going after another title, hopefully soon,”
Solo Sikoa already faced Carmelo Hayes in NXT, whom he defeated to become the NXT North American Championship, however we haven't witnessed yet. However it is most likely to occur in the main roster anytime in the future.
Despite not having a dominant championship reign like Hayes & Breakker, Sikoa is now ahead of both his supposed to be actual opponents with more main roster experience and feud with some of the greats.
As he said that he is near to having a title, we speculate it to be the United States Championship, as he previously spoke about his desire to face Rey Mysterio for a title match. Sikoa is now feuding with John Cena and is expected to face him at WWE Crown Jewel 2023 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
