SPOILER: Lyra Valkyria's new partner for WWE WrestleMania 41 match against Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez Revealed

This former champion is expected to join forces with Lyra

WWE organised a gauntlet match to determine the number one contenders for the women’s tag team championship last week. The winners were supposed to challenge Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on night two of WrestleMania 41.

The reigning Women’s Intercontinental champion, Lyra Valkyria, and Bayley defeated five other teams to book their ticket for the show of shows. However, after a backstage attack on Bayley on night one of the event, Raw’s General Manager has given Lyra 24 hours to find a new partner as Bayley is not medically cleared to compete.

Becky Lynch to replace Bayley for WWE WrestleMania 41 matchup

After the incident, reports emerged that the plans are for Becky Lynch to join forces with Lyra as of Saturday. An update from Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio stated,

“They did an angle before WrestleMania where Bayley was laid out. This is the return of Becky Lynch, she is going to be replacing Bayley against Lyra.

I suppose if word gets out, they could change it, but that was the plan today,”

Becky Lynch has not been a part of WWE programming since her loss against Liv Morgan in a steel cage match last year. She was seen earlier this week at the Hall of Fame along with her husband, Seth Rollins, which has added fuel to the fire.

It was also reported that WWE was planning to replace Bayley with Lynch for several weeks and the latter is not injured. Bayley is respected by the entire locker room and they all felt sympathy for the star following her exit from the show.

The prospect of Becky Lynch making her return has been received positively by the fans and they cannot wait to see her in action yet again. Becky’s return during this match will also make the most sense as she can reignite her feud with Liv Morgan.
