WWE could see more wrestlers from wrestling families debut shortly.
Much like any industry in the world, wrestling also, as Cody Rhodes says, “has more than one royal family.” Over the years, WWE has seen countless star kids come to the promotion. While some could not live up to the family name, others transcended the fame of their ancestors.
Looking at the current scenario where multiple young aspirants from wrestling families are pursuing the sport, here are five possibilities of star kids who could make their WWE debut soon:
5. Mya Lesnar
As the name suggests, Mya is the daughter of the most dangerous combat sports athlete in the world, Brock Lesnar. Much like her father, Mya Lesnar has an athletic background, being a track and field athlete, a leading shotput champion, and the Minnesota State champion in professional volleyball. With her prowess in sports combined with her amazing stature, Mya could follow in her father’s footsteps and head next to the world of professional wrestling.
4. Zilla Fatu
The standout aspirants from the rich lineage of the Anoa’i family, Zilla Fatu, son of WWE legend, Umaga have a bright future in wrestling. While Jacob has been rumored to make his WWE debut soon, Zilla continues to impress the fans on the indie scene. With their royal blood and remarkable talent, Zilla Fatu is a major possibility to make his debut soon.
3. Owen Steen
Owen Steen is the son of current WWE superstar, Kevin Owens. Name after the legendary Owen Hart and having wrestling in his blood passed by his father, Owen could be the next star kid to WWE. This comes from the fact of his interest in karate and has been in the Black Belt Club. Moreover, his recent image shows his amazing physical stature, and his interest in wrestling as revealed by his father makes him a top prospect to join WWE in the future.
2. Cody Hall
Cody Hall is the son of the two-time WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall. He began his wrestling career in 2010, training under his father’s guidance, and made his in-ring debut in July 2012 at an independent event. In 2015, Hall joined NJPW, becoming a member of the Bullet Club faction. Following that he has been a part of various indie promotions and could be a possible prospect to join WWE, where his father became famous as “The Bad Guy.”
1. Terrell & Terrence Hughes
Terrell and Terrence Hughes are the eldest sons of WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley. The duo first appeared for TNA Wrestling alongside their father in a storyline against D’Angelo Dinero. Years later, they debuted in January 2015 as the tag team TNT after being trained by their father. After competing on the independent scene, they tried out for WWE in 2018 and appeared as security guards on SmackDown. They even had a brief stint in AEW in 2020, so their years of experience and rich lineage could land them a spot on the WWE roster in the future.
