Five stars who can be LA Knight’s secret opponent in John Cena’s last WWE match tournament

LA Knight’s opponent could be a huge surprise.
John Cena’s farewell tour is set to culminate at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, taking place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., on December 13. His last opponent will be decided by ‘The Last Time is Now’ tournament, which will feature superstars from RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and others competing for the pivotal opportunity.
One of those matches will see The Megastar, LA Knight, square off against a mystery opponent on the November 14 edition of WWE SmackDown. Here are the top five superstars who can be the one to face him in the prestigious tournament.
5. Chad Gable

One of the top superstars from RAW that has not been seen for months is Chad Gable. He suffered a shoulder injury and was ruled out of action. However, he is known to be a premier athlete and could have possibly recovered and been revealed as the mystery opponent teased by SmackDown GM Nick Aldis to face LA Knight.
4. Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker has been touted as the future of WWE, having the physical stature, charisma, and in-ring dominance. Moreover, Breakker has claimed multiple titles and accolades and is currently paired with perhaps the greatest manager of all time, Paul Heyman. He could be a top pick for the mystery man to battle LA Knight in ‘The Last Time is Now’ tournament next week on SmackDown.
3. CM Punk

Despite becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk called out John Cena for one more battle on his farewell tour. The Best in the World could have one last opportunity to collide against his storied rival by entering ‘The Last Time is Now’ tournament and being revealed as LA Knight’s opponent on SmackDown.

A top WWE name that has been out with an injury is Gunther. The Ring General suffered a broken nose and was last seen at WWE SummerSlam. He could make his return next week on SmackDown to battle LA Knight in the tournament, and eventually go on to win it to become John Cena‘s last opponent, as stated by multiple reports.

Chris Jericho is highly rumored to leave AEW and make his thunderous comeback to WWE for months now. With his contract nearing expiry, Y2J could find a way to get out of his contract early and return to the company next week to square off against LA Knight as the mystery entrant in ‘The Last Time is Now’ tournament.

His opponent will be chosen through a 16-man tournament involving stars from Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and outside promotions.
When does the tournament begin?
The tournament begins on Monday Night Raw, November 10, 2025, in Boston, Massachusetts.
