Top four stars who could interfere during John Cena vs R-Truth match on WWE SmackDown tonight (June 20, 2025)

This week’s episode of SmackDown will feature stars from the Raw brand.

Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena is set to battle a familiar foe in Ron ‘R-Truth’ Killings. The two stars will battle in a singles match on tonight’s episode of  Friday Night SmackDown, which will emanate live from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 

The show will continue to build towards the Night of Champions 2025, with two semi-finals in the King and Queen of the Ring tournament. Asuka will battle Alexa Bliss in the Queen of the Ring tournament semi-finals, while Randy Orton will battle Sami Zayn in the semi-finals of the King of the Ring tournament.

Ahead of the clash between Cena and Truth, let us take a look at the top four stars who might interfere during the match on WWE SmackDown tonight.

4. Randy Orton

John Cena in May at Backlash defended the Undisputed title against his career-long rival, ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton. The Champion once again used dirty tactics to pick up the win and retain the title.

Orton made his return after the loss on last week’s show, advancing to the semi-finals, and is now set to battle Sami Zayn tonight. However, he might decide to settle the score and attack Cena during his match with Truth.

3. Logan Paul

Logan Paul and Cena teamed up for Money in the Bank 2025, where they battled the team of Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. Logan inadvertently took out Cena twice, and the two even had a heated disagreement during the match, which ultimately aided Cody and Jey in picking up the win.

Logan might decide to mend ways with the Champion, helping him win the match and win his trust once again.

2. CM Punk

‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk is set to battle Cena with the Undisputed title on the line on June 28 at Night of Champions in Riyadh. This will be their first singles interaction in over a decade, and the animosity between the two has been rife.

Punk seemed to enjoy Truth attacking Cena and putting him in the STF lock last week after his segment, and just to humiliate Cena before the clash, he might decide to help Truth.

1. Cody Rhodes

‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes already spoiled the party for Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event when the latter decided to help Logan Paul by attacking Jey Uso.

While Rhodes is currently busy preparing for the semi-finals of the King of the Ring tournament, he will likely be backstage on tonight’s show and might decide to take matters into his own hands if Paul tries to interfere.
