New storylines could be on the horizon following the events of Monday Night RAW this week.
The fallout edition of WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night RAW for WWE Bash in Berlin PLE, was a night filled with shocking sights, memorable encounters, and, most importantly, hinting at the start of new narratives for the red brand.
With seeds planted for multiple new storylines on the September 2 edition of RAW, which took place in Denver, Colorado, here are five of those new narratives that can happen:
5. Tag Team titles
As seen in a backstage segment, Kofi Kingston was spotted talking to RAW General Manager Adam Pearce regarding championships that had not been defended for over two months. He was possibly referring to the WWE World tag team titles currently held by Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.
With rumors of Odessey Jones being removed from the WWE roster after being teased to join the New Day, Kingston and his partner, Xavier Woods, could be in line for a shot at the tag titles moving forward.
4. Sami Zayn vs Gunther
After putting down Randy Orton at the WWE Bash in Berlin, World Heavyweight Champion Gunther came to RAW to celebrate his remarkable victory. However, he was confronted by the same man who ended his 666-day Intercontinental title reign at WrestleMania 40.
Zayn made it clear that he had his sights on the World title now, and being one of the few individuals to defeat Gunther, he was next in line for the championship match.
3. Bron Breakker’s potential opponent
The tensions between Bron Breakker and Jey Uso were once again teased this week on RAW in a backstage segment. Moreover, Jey is a part of the Fatal 4-Way match to determine Breakker’s challenger for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
With run-ins each week since the start of the tournament and bringing family legacies into the mix, a feud between Jey and Bron could be on the horizon.
2. CM Punk’s future quest after feud with Drew McIntyre
CM Punk thought he left Drew McIntyre in his rearview after victory at Bash in Berlin. However, McIntyre was not finished with him as he launched a vicious assault on him and broke his precious bracelet.
But before this ensured, Punk set his sights on Gunther and the World Heavyweight Championship, hinting at a future storyline with him that could start after the culmination of his feud with McIntyre.
1. Jey Uso and Rhea Ripley romance
Following their regular social media exchanges, Jey Uso and Rhea Ripley were paired together onscreen as he helped Damian Priest defeat Finn Balor and JD McDonagh in the main event.
Moreover, he and Rhea shared an off-screen YEET moment after RAW, which could be the start of this new romantic storyline pairing Rhea Ripley and Jey Uso in her quest to battle her foes, the new Judgment Day.
