The 8/12 episode of WWE Raw could set the foundation for new storylines

WWE is all set to host the August 12, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, United States. WWE has set the stage for some of the interesting matches and segments on the show. WWE has also begun some of the newer storylines in the fall out of SummerSlam. Here we look at the top five storylines to watch out for on this week’s episode of WWE Raw.

5. Problems within The New Day

Karrion Kross has been asking Xavier Woods to join the Final Testament for a long time, however, Woods has been neglecting the offer. One of the main reasons for Woods not to accept the offer is because of the trust he has with the New Day members.

Adding more spice to it, Odyssey Jones made his Raw debut to help New Day to win the match, last week. Jones seems to be the potential replacement for Big E in the New Day and Woods’ reaction last week hints that he is not happy with Jones in their faction. If Woods finds that anyone in the New Day could be replaceable, he would leave the stable and join the Final Testament.

4. CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre’s cat & mouse play

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre had their match at SummerSlam, where McIntyre won the match and it felt like they had done with their rivalry. However, Punk calls for a sequel with McIntyre and Drew triggers him again with the bracelet, making Punk chase Drew. At this stage, both are set to appear this week and they could build their storylines for the upcoming events, which could add a different stipulation.

3. Wyatt Sicks next victim

The 2024 SummerSlam has witnessed many betrayals, especially in the red brand. The main agenda of the Wyatt Sicks is to stand for the voiceless, who betrayed their team members. However, Wyatts could begin a storyline with Judgment Day, as Balor & Dominik dumped Priest and Ripley in the process. With the angles open, nobody is safe with Wyatt Sicks in the house.

2. Gunther’s mind games with Randy Orton

Last week on Raw, Gunther and Randy Orton accepted for a World Heavyweight Championship match at Bash in Berlin. This is a brand new feud and both are in urge to sell their storyline within just two weeks from the PLE.

At this stage, Gunther could try to enter Randy Orton’s head, which the Ring General always does. Both could cook their storylines for the upcoming events with an urge to make it the main event-worthy match for the PLE in Germany. What will be Gunther’s plan to mentally outperform Orton could be the major storyline that could be built for this week.

1. Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest’s revenge

Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest got betrayed by Judgment Day’s betrayal on SummerSlam. Last week on Raw, Finn Balor revealed the reason behind their betrayal on the titration and the faction attacked them later on the show. They claimed that there was no Judgment Day without them.

At this stage, Rhea Ripley is set to kick-off Monday Night Raw and Damian Priest is set to have a match against Carlito. Ripley and Priest’s revenge tour against Judgment Day is the major storyline of the red brand and this week could set the foundation for the revenge tour.
