The 11/22 episode of SmackDown is shaping up to be an absolute spectacle
The November 22 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown will be telecasted live from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Tonight’s episode carries huge anticipation among fans for what could be one of the most exciting nights leading up to the Survivor Series PLE.
The Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 is scheduled for November 30, 2024, in the Rogers Arena, Vancouver, Canada. Ahead of tonight’s SmackDown episode, let’s look at five storylines in store for WWE fans.
5. Women’s US title tournament
The Stamford-based company has revealed a tournament to determine the first-ever Women’s United States Champion.
In the tournament’s first match, Bayley took on Candice LeRae and B-Fab on the 11/15 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Bayley won the triple-threat match and has advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament.
In the second match of the tournament, one part of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair will face off against Chelsea Green and Blair Davenport.
The victor in the second match tonight will advance to the semi-finals. The tournament is shaping up to be a historic moment in WWE, as it will crown the first-ever Women’s United States Champion.

4. Shinsuke Nakamura – LA Knight
During last week’s episode, United States Champion LA Knight defended his title against Berto of the Legado Del Fantasma faction. Knight successfully defended his title but he was attacked by Shinsuke Nakamura who made his return last week.
Nakamura made his surprising return after the match and attacked the US champion, flatlining Knight with brutal shots. Nakamura however, left the ring after the attacks without saying anything.
The Stamford-based promotion might use last week’s attack to build a storyline involving the two stars. A potential matchup for the title at the upcoming PLE might also be in the books.
3. WarGames buildup
The WWE is all ready to take over Vancouver for the last PLE of the year, this week’s episode will feature segments that will be used to build up the WarGames clash at the Survivor Series PLE.
In the men’s WarGames match, the OG Bloodline led by Roman Reigns will take on the rogue Bloodline which is led by Solo Sikoa.
On the other hand, in the Women’s division, the team of Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, Naomi, and Iyo Sky will lock horns against the team of Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton, and Nia Jax.

2. Cody Rhodes – Kevin Owens face off
Last week in Wisconsin, Cody Rhodes, The American Nightmare, kicked off the show with a fiery promo. Rhodes directly addressed Kevin Owens, accusing him of crossing the line and demanding Owens show up in the arena.
However, Kevin Owens was barred from the venue. Later, a video aired featuring Owens revealed that WWE SmackDown GM Nick Aldis had personally invited him to appear on the November 22 episode in Salt Lake City.
The face-off is set for tonight’s episode, there is a very high probability that the face-off might turn into an all-out brawl. The American Nightmare is very upset with Owens and his actions recently concerning Randy Orton.
The Prizefighter, on the other hand, feels he was the one who was betrayed by Orton and Rhodes and thus feels justified in his action. The clash of the two former friends would be a very interesting segment for fans.
1. Fifth member of the OG Bloodline
As recent developments occurred we found out that ‘Big’ Bronson Reed has joined the rogue factions as their fifth member for the WarGames clash against the OG faction.
On the other hand, the OG faction is still struggling to convince anybody in the locker room to join their team for the Survivor Series clash. However, things might have changed since this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
Solo Sikoa and the rogue faction this week on the Red brand cost Rollins the match against his fierce rival and the fifth member of the rogue faction, Bronson Reed.
Rollins has twice turned down the offer by the OG faction but the addition of Reed and Sikoa’s interference might lead him to rethink his decision to never team up with Roman Reigns. There is a high possibility that Rollins join forces with the OG faction on this week’s episode of SmackDown.
