Tonight’s SmackDown will emanate from Louisville.
Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown will emanate from the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The February 27 edition will serve as the go-home show for the upcoming Elimination Chamber 2026 and will feature the final face-offs for the men’s Chamber match ahead of the PLE.
After airing on Syfy for two weeks due to the Winter Olympics, the show will return to the USA Network starting this week. The promotion has announced a stacked card for tonight’s show, featuring some of the top names, including Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, LA Knight, and Jey Uso, among others.
WWE has announced multiple matches, including three singles matches and a tag team match with the WWE Women’s tag titles on the line. Let us now take a look at the top four storylines that might be in play on tonight’s show.
4. The stolen lantern

Things have heated up in the feud between Solo Sikoa‘s MFT and Wyatt Sicks, led by Uncle Howdy, since Solo and his faction stole the iconic lantern from under Uncle Howdy’s nose. What has followed has been sinister promos and a failed attempt to regain the lanter.
However, things might come to a blow tonight as Uncle Howdy and Solo Sikoa are set to lock horns in a singles match. Fans will now have to tune in to see how the match unfolds and what twist the storylines take in Louisville.

3. Drew McIntyre’s attack
Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre last week decided to attack Randy Orton, costing him the main event showdown against Aleister Black. With reports of a multi-man match for the title at WrestleMania, it might be possible that last week’s attack will be used to insert Orton into the title showdown.
The upcoming Men’s Elimination Chamber match featuring Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and others has also intrigued fans, particularly regarding how WWE plans to structure the multi-man title match at WrestleMania if the reported plans remain in place.
2. Women’s Tag Team titles
Women’s Tag Team Champions Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky will once again defend their titles against The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax & Lash Legend). Their last encounter, two weeks ago, ended in a no-contest.
With WrestleMania just around the corner, fans should expect another disruptive match that will undoubtedly change the direction of the tag division and perhaps lead to the new champions or a multi-tag team clash announcement for Mania.
